When did Luffy start learning Haki?

Observation Haki

Luffy’s training to utilize Haki in the anime began in Episode 516, when Rayleigh escorted him to Rusukaina Island to begin their training.

Luffy learned Haki in Episode 517 of the anime, which marked the end of Luffy’s training. In Episode 518, he used Conqueror’s Haki to collapse Demalo Black, Luffy’s impersonator, without injuring the others in the area.

They met Luffy as a coating mechanic when he landed to the Sabaody Archipelago, and he applied coating for ships to “travel” under the water to reach Fishman Island and the New World.
