What Time Is The Fortnite Event: Summer has arrived in Fortnite now that the Summer Solstice has passed.
Three months of summer are ahead of us, and if it’s too hot to go outside (or if you’re unlucky enough to have smoke from a nearby forest fire polluting your air), we can celebrate in Fortnite for the next two weeks.
The two-week Cosmic Summer Celebration begins on Tuesday, June 22nd in Fortnite: Battle Royale, and while we don’t know everything about it yet, we do have some hints as to what to expect. Everything you need to know is right here.

Table of Contents
The Cosmic Summer event begins on Tuesday, June 22nd at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET. At this time, any new challenges and LTMs should go live. Believer Beach will host the majority of the festivities (formerly Sweaty Sands).
What Time Is The Fortnite Event Live-Event
During the Cosmic Summer Celebration, there will be no live event, according to information discovered on Reddit
As a result, rather than being a cinematic live event, the Welcome Party is an ongoing event. It’s unclear what it will entail, but the hints point to aliens of some sort landing at Coral Castle, causing some much-needed map changes.
Rewards and Challenges
Along with these potential map changes and some new challenges and rewards that are open to all players, I have a sneaking suspicion that the majority of this event will take place in the Item Shop. Perhaps a new mode or two, some cosmetic awards, and a slew of summer and beach-themed skins to buy.
I say this because we didn’t receive a live event to kick off the season, we won’t get one for the summer celebration, and Epic Games has been a little sloppy with just about everything recently, even its licenced crossover things. We don’t have any leaked challenges yet, but as soon as they do, I’ll update this site.
It’s uncertain whether the Week 3 challenges will be available tomorrow or on Thursday. We’ll find out in the morning.
What else is there to say? Perhaps a major map change
For the time being, that’s all we know. The event will span two weeks and should bring some new LTMs, map tweaks, and challenges to the game. I wouldn’t count on the one very major modification this game requires right now: the elimination of UFOs! Given Epic’s latest cryptic tweet, we should probably expect even more flying saucers.
Indeed, it appears that the new POI is the Mothership herself. Does this imply that we’ll take to the skies for a second UFO-based map? Will the mothership land on Coral Castle, completely altering the map’s northwest corner? This makes logical and would be a pleasant difference from Coral Castle, which is utterly pointless. For the time being, it’s all supposition.
