WWE Reportedly Releases Sasha Banks
Banks had PRK eye surgery earlier this week, and various photos and videos from the procedure have leaked on social media.
Since her WWE suspension, it was one of her few public appearances.
During the May 16 “Raw,” Banks and Naomi staged a walkout from WWE, and were subsequently given indefinite suspensions without pay.
Banks’ contract was set to expire in two months, according to former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide, though no news outlets confirmed this.
Banks and Naomi have yet to comment on their feud with WWE, while Naomi has erased any references to the company from her Twitter bio.
Banks and Naomi have been accused of “disappointing the WWE Universe” by staging a walkout.
WWE has also taken down all of the two wrestlers’ stuff from WWE Shop, deactivated their Facebook sites, and removed all references to them from their TV graphic intro.
“There’s no end on the horizon for this predicament,” Fightful Select earlier claimed, adding WWE has no intentions to release Banks or Naomi from their contracts, or even to freeze their soon-to-expire contracts.
After a successful tryout camp, Sasha Banks signed with WWE in August 2012.
She was a five-time Raw Women’s Champion, one-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, one-time NXT Women’s Champion, and three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion until she left the business.
She also had the distinct privilege of co-headlining WrestleMania 37’s Night 1 with Bianca Belair.
