A scientist is someone who is systematically gathering and uses research and evidence from which to makes pre-determine results and test them, to gain and share understanding and knowledge. So, here are the Top 5 Scientists of the United States.

1. Alexander Graham Bell

Alexander Bell was a Scottish-born Inventor, Scientist, and also Engineer who is credited with new inventing and patenting the first practice as the telephone. He also co-founded the American Telephone and Telegraph Company in the year 1885.

Graham Bell’s father, grandfather, and brother had all been associated with work on clear and speech, and both his mother and wife were deaf but influencing Bell’s life’s work. His research on hearing and speech further led him to experiment with the hearing devices which eventually succeeded in Bell being awarded the first United States design for the telephone, on the year March 7th,1876. Bell considered his invention as a concentration on his real work as a scientist and refused to have the telephone in his study.

Many other inventions which were marked Bell’s later life, that was including groundbreaking work in optical telecommunications, Hydrofoils, and Aeronautics. Although Graham Bell was not one of the 33 founders of the National Geographic Society, he had a strong influence on the magazine while same time serving as the second president from the year January 7th, 1898, until 1903.

Apart from his scientific work, Bell also was an advocate of compulsory sterilization and served as a chairman or president of several eugenics organizations.

2. Alan Greenspan

Alan Greenspan is an American economist, who served his five terms as the 13th Chair of the Federal Reserve of the United States from the years of1987 to 2006. He works as a private adviser and provides many consulting for companies through his company, Alan Greenspan Associates LLC. He first appointed as a Federal Reserve chairman by President Ronald Reagan in the year August 1987, he was also reappointed at successive four-year intervals until his retiring on the year January 31st, 2006, after the second-longest tenure in the position behind namely William McChesney Martin.

Alan Greenspan came to the Federal Reserve Board from a consulting career. Although he was not very bright in his public appearances, favorable media coverage raised his profile to a point that even several observers likened him to a rock star. 5. Félicie Albert

Félicie Albert is a French-born and American Physicist, who was working on Laser plasma accelerators. She is the deputy director for the Center for High Energy Density Science at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and staff scientist at the National Ignition Facility.

She received a BS in engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Marseille, now it is renamed as Ecole Centrale de Marseille, in France, Albert’s master’s degree in optics from the University of Central Florida and her Ph.D. from Ecole Polytechnique, before she has joining LLNL as a postdoctoral fellow in the year 2008.

She also received the Katherine E. Weimer Award from the American Physical Society in the year 2017, and the Presidential Early Career Award for Science and Engineers in the year 2019.
