The cause of death for Keyshawn Johnson’s daughter has yet to be divulged, and the former NFL star likewise declined to do so in his social media messages. Johnson shared Maia with his ex-wife, Shikiri Hightower, according to Yahoo Sports.

They were married from 1998 to 2002 and have a son, Keyshawn Johnson Jr., who has committed to playing wide receiver for the University of Nebraska. Johnson and his current wife, Jennifer Conrad, have three young children, London, Vance and Shyla.

Hightower celebrated Maia’s 22nd birthday in 2017 with a series of Instagram photos, explaining that she gave birth to her first-born daughter when she was a sophomore at the University of Southern California in 1995.
