Dynamax Moves : All Transformations in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Sword and Shield are no exception, as each generation of the Pokémon franchise brings a new fighting mechanic.

Dynamax and Gigantamax are new mechanics in the Gen 8 games that can alter the tide of combat. This phenomena permits Pokémon to increase in size and have access to more powerful attacks as a result of this occurrence.

It’s not easy to master Dynamax and Gigantamax, since you’ll need precise timing and technique to beat other trainers who want to harness this new mechanic for themselves.

Here’s everything you need to know about Dynamax and Gigantamax in Pokémon Sword and Shield, including a list of Pokémon that can be transformed into these new forms.

WHAT IS DYNAMAX AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Dynamax is comparable to Mega Evolution in the sense that it is a one-time event. Dynamax’s Pokémon will only be converted for three turns.

During that moment, you can use special moves known as Max Moves to overpower your opponent’s Pokémon.

No matter what stage of evolution a Pokémon is in, it has the capacity to Dynamax.

Aside from HP, Dynamax has no effect on other stats. To put it another way, this transformation will only raise the Pokémon’s HP stat.

The Dynamax level of each Pokémon can be raised with Dynamax Candy. The Pokémon’s HP will rise by 5% every time the level is upgraded.

This item may be obtained by participating in Max Raid Battles.

Max Moves, like Z-Moves in Generation 7, are beefed-up versions of attacks.

Here’s the complete list of Max Moves and their effects:

  • Sunny Day (Fire) – Max Flare (Fire) for five turns
