Hello, Everyone Today I am going to share some interesting facts on the Top 5 Players of Paralympic. The Para athletes have done tremendously well and played over the years, but they don’t quite to get the recognition which they really deserve.
Some of them have broken the world records on their way to being the best Paralympic in the world.
It takes the immense courage to participate in the events across the world and also these athletes have the time and again to overcome all the odds to succeed.
They are truly an inspiration to everyone in the world. They are not disabled, but they are as able as the any other person or the better.
Some of the Top 5 Players in Paralympic are:
1. Rajinder Singh Rahelu

The Rajinder Singh Rahelu is the Powerlifter from the Mehsampur in the Jalandhar district is a bronze medallist from the year of 2004 and won Athens Paralympic games in the 56-kg category.
This 41-year old player had earlier won the gold in the Asian Bench Press Championship in New Delhi in the year of 2002 in the same weight category. And then, He clinched the silver in the year of 2007 IWAS World Games.
Rajinder Singh Rahelu finished as a fifth at the year of 2008 in the Beijing Paralympics. He won silver in the year of 2014 Glasgow Paralympics. He also won the Arjuna Award in the year of 2006.
2. Malathi Krishnamurthy Holla
Malathi Krishnamurthy HollaThe Malathi is one of the most inspiring para athletes of India. She has won almost over the 300 medals during her career. She represented India in the Paralympics which is held in the South Korea, Barcelona, Athens and Beijing.
She also took part in the Asian Games which is held in Beijing, Bangkok, South Korea and Kuala Lumpur. She took the efforts to part in the several sports such as shot put, discus, javelin, wheelchair race and the obstacle race.
At the year of 1989 World Masters Games in Denmark, she won the gold in the 200m, shot put, discus, and javelin throw. She also won the Arjuna Award in the year of 1996 and the Padma Shri Award in the year of 2001.
3. Girisha Nagarajegowda
Girisha NagarajegowdaThe Girisha Nagarajegowda won the silver in the high jump event at the year of 2012 Paralympic games in the London. He used the scissors technique to jump in the 1.74 meters.
His other achievements are including by winning a silver at the year of 2012 in the Malaysian Para Athletics Championships and won the gold at the year of 2012 in the Kuwait Para Athletics Championships. He also won the Padma Shri Award in the Year of 2013.
4. Devendra Jhajharia
Devendra JhajhariaThe Devendra Jhajharia came into the spotlight when he won the gold in the 8th FESPIC Games in Korea in the javelin throw.
His best effort is coming at the year of 2004 in Athens Paralympic games from where he won the gold and setting a world record of 62.15m and beating the old one of 59.77m.
He went on to win the gold in the year of 2013 IPC World Championships in Lyon. He also won the Arjuna and Padma Shri Award.
5. Murlikant Petkar
Murlikant PetkarMurlikant Petkar is a multi-faceted para athlete who won the India’s first gold medal at the year of 1972 Munich games in the 50m freestyle event.
He also set a world record in the event when he completed it in the 37.33 seconds.
He also featured in the javelin throw, precision javelin throws and the slalom in the same games. He reached the finals in all these events. He has also won the four medals in the international events in swimming.
So, these are the Top Five Players of Paralympics. These Paralympic players are worked hard and with their determination and the keen interest in the games they won the best ever.
