One Eyed Mask Destiny 2

How about we talk about the Recluse and One-Eyed Mask Nerfs in Destiny 2?

One eyed mask destiny 2:  I‘ve been avoiding a difficult topic as Lord Commander of Nerfs in the Destiny universe for a while now since I don’t love living up to my meme reputation and also getting yelled at.

But I can’t put it off any longer because it appears that Bungie will act shortly, and if they do, I’ll have wasted my chance.

People always search for news regarding Recluse nerfs (which a lot of people seem to want to avoid) and One-Eyed Mask nerfs whenever Bungie makes fresh balancing changes in the Destiny universe (which a lot of people seem to want implemented).

This week, we saw a significant nerf to the bottom tree Striker Titan, making it less rampage-y than before.

However, Bungie also adds that One-Eyed Mask is being investigated further, and that additional information will be available later.

One-Eyed Mask is a dedicated PvP exotic unlike any other that has come before it.

It not only labels targets that hurt you so you can see exactly where they are behind barriers and time your shots accordingly, but it also gives you an overshield and a damage boost when you kill them.

One of the strange things about One-Eyed Mask is that it always feels like two exotics have been mashed together.

Either of these skills would be quite powerful on their own, at least in PvP.

I can see a version of One-Eyed Mask where it simply chooses one of these benefits and lives with it.

An exotic that allows you to follow foes that inflict damage around corners and behind walls is still quite valuable.

Similarly, an exotic with an overshield and a damage buff on kill encourages aggressive play.

They’re too powerful when they’re all together, and that’s the main issue.

If the full package is preserved, I think some cuts here and there could make it work.

You could reduce the amount of time that targets are marked. The overshield’s strength could be reduced.

After a noted kill, you can remove or lessen the damage boost. The major issue is that there is simply too much going on in one exotic here.

I don’t think the great majority of the community will be disappointed if OEM is impacted in some way, and I’m interested to see what Bungie has planned.

Recluse? Sigh. The storey of the recluse is rather different.

People despise the thought of nerfing apex weapons due to the time and effort required to obtain them. Believe me when I say that I am well aware of the situation.

One of my most beloved and scarring Destiny experiences was my 24-hour sprint to Recluse at the end of the season, and I, like everyone else, like the gun. However, if you adore something, let it go.

Recluse, unlike One-Eyed Mask, is a strong player in both PvP and PvE.

Despite other random pinnacle weapons like Redrix and Breakneck suffering significant hits as a result of Shadowkeep balance changes, promised nerfs to Recluse’s Master at Arms perk have felt like they’ve accomplished nothing, and the gun feels exactly as strong as it has in the past, if not stronger.

For Bungie, it’ll almost certainly come down to a numbers game. Recluse was the energy slot of choice for 83 percent of players in the Garden of Salvation raid (via Warmind.io) due to its amazing mob clearing capabilities.

Recluse currently occupies 7.13 percent of all Crucible energy slots, which may seem insignificant, but it is the game’s top energy weapon in that slot by 3% (over Beloved and Mindbender), and that’s out of every energy weapon in the game, not to mention one that requires high-level Crucible play to obtain.

You can bet that if more individuals had earned it, the proportion would be higher.

It’s just too powerful, guys. Nothing else comes close to the Gjallarhorn of SMGs.

You can’t have a weapon that dominates every activity to this extent since it limits encounter design and diversity.

I know it took a long time to get, believe me, but there’s no disputing that it’s a cut above every other gun in the game, and you can’t buff 2,304 other weapons to that level. You have to pull one down every now and then.

Right now, there’s a strong SMG meta, and new options like the Moon and Vex SMGs are both powerful and entertaining.

I’ve also been talking about Trackless Waste and Pillager for a long time, and they’ve recently gotten even better.

Huckleberry has become a low-key monster as a result of recent improvements.

Despite this, they aren’t employed because they will never be as good as Recluse.

I’m not sure what the nerf will be in this case. The fact that Master of Arms does not proc on weapon kills that aren’t Recluse is a good start, but even that may not be enough because the damage gain from it is truly huge.

This season, Bungie attempted to weaken damaging perks like Rampage, Kill Clip, and Swashbuckler, however Master of Arms evaded the culling and is as powerful as ever.

This could be due to SMGs receiving improvements in other areas, such as base damage.

I don’t think I need to “ask for a nerf” here because it seems to me that one is already on the way, regardless of what I say (though let the yelling commence).

Bungie is aware of these figures, which are absurd. I hope Recluse remains strong and an excellent pick after whatever they do, but it’s evident that something will be done.
