Mamukoyan Died: Mamukkoya, a seasoned performer, died as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage. The 77-year-old had just had a stroke and was admitted to the hospital.

Mamukoya began his acting career in theater before making his Malayalam film debut in 1979 with Anyarude Bhoomi. The actor went on to receive numerous awards over the course of his multidecade career.

He had passed out on Monday night while serving as the principal guest at a football competition in the Kalikavu region.

Few minutes before the inauguration, he reportedly swooned from tiredness, according to reports. Early on Tuesday, he was transported to a private hospital in Kozhikode.

Following his passing, messages from celebrities and regular people expressed their sorrow and offered their condolences on social media.

Mamukoya, who was born in July 1946, acted in more than 450 Malayalam-language movies, usually in humorous parts. He was the first actor in Malayalam film to receive a State award for best comedian.

On Wednesday, renowned Malayalam actor Mamukoya passed away in a Kozhikode private hospital. He was 76. The actor recently experienced a heart collapse followed by a brain hemorrhage, which put him in a grave state.

The actor had passed out at a football competition in Malappuram. Mamukoya, who made his acting debut in the film Anyarude Bhoomi, immediately won the hearts of the Malayali public with his distinctive manner of delivering lines and his Kozhikode dialect.

For Malayalis, the actor will always be most known for his portrayal as Gafoorka in the 1987 film Nadodikattu, in which his line “Gafoor ka dost” still makes people chuckle.

Later, Mamukoya collaborated with filmmaker Sathyan Anthikkad to bring a few classic performances to the big screen in movies like Gandhinagar 2nd Street, Varavelpu, Thalayanamanthram, Sandesham, and others.
