Medical Examiner Reveals Cause Of Death For Irene Cara

Oscar-winning singer who passed away at 63 was best known for her iconic roles in Flash dance’s theme song “What A Feeling” and Coco in Fame, where she sang the film’s iconic title song.

Cara won an Oscar for Best Original Song with Flash dance’s hit single “What a Feeling,” and went on to win two Grammys for the up tempo chart topper that perfectly captured Jennifer Beals’ underdog journey as the welder-turned-dancer.

She earned two Grammy awards, for Best Pop Vocal Performance (Female) and Best Album Of Original Score Written For A Motion Picture Or Television Special with “What A Feeling,” both in 2017.
