Craig Revel Horwood married Jane, his Welsh Caerphilly-born ex-wife, in 1990, when they were both 25 years old.
They met while he was playing in the stage show Miss Saigon and they shared a residence in London.
“Gradually, our intimacy blossomed into a proper partnership,” Craig said in his autobiography, “All Balls and Glitter: My Life.” “When we initially met, Jane mistook me for a gay man.
“Jane and I started dating at the beginning of 1990. We lived in a charming one-bedroom flat in Crouch End, similar to Robert Redford and Jane Fonda in Barefoot in the Park. “I admired her eccentric qualities, her love of the arts, her outgoing personality, her ability to communicate with everyone, her strength, her devotion – even her Welsh accent.”
Craig proposed to her out of the blue, and the pair married. “Eventually, I realised I was in love with Jane and asked her to marry me in a hasty manner,” he explained.
“I was both homosexual and straight, so being bisexual wasn’t a major issue for me or for her,” he said of their relationship. We were two people who cared about one other and wanted to start a family before it was too late.”
The marriage, however, did not last once Jane was discovered with another guy.
“It didn’t last,” Craig explained, “primarily because our sex life dwindled, and I suppose it led to the inevitable scenario – Jane sleeping with someone else.” “I found out about the affair a few days before our two-year anniversary.
“We had a friend we called Lightning because he was slow off the mark, and I discovered that they were sleeping together.” He moved in after I moved out.”

After only two and a half years together, their marriage fell apart. After his divorce, the Strictly judge swore to stay single, but he met Jonathan Myring, 35, on the dating app Tinder two years ago.
After gardener Jonathan shocked Craig with his proposal during a vacation to a national park, the two became engaged after two years. While the two were sipping champagne, he stripped down in a salt bath and got down on one knee to ask the question.
“Things are definitely different this time,” Craig stated in an interview with The Mirror. “I’d never considered remarrying before, but this feels right.” It seems right, and I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my life with Jonathan.”
Craig’s massive Hampshire estate has served as a safe haven for the pair. They intend to marry in 2022, at a magnificent ceremony in which social distance will hopefully be a thing of the past.
