GTS Pokemon : GTS, Wonder Trade, and Everything You Need to Know About Pokémon Home Trading

Trainers can now save and trade their Pokémon with gamers all around the world with Pokémon Home, which is available for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android smartphones.

The trading feature in Pokémon Home is only available on the mobile version of the app, and while the basic (free) and premium editions have significant variations, both can make trades in different capacities.

If you’re interested in trading in Pokémon Home, here’s all you need to know.

TRADING SYSTEM ON A GLOBAL SCALE (GTS)

Trainers can use the Global Trading System, or GTS, to hunt for and deposit Pokémon for trade. It’s a fantastic tool that allows you to ask anyone in the globe for a specific Pokémon, whether for breeding or simply to complete your Pokedex.

While the GTS has flaws, such as trainers asking for Mythical/Legendary Pokémon or absurd exchanges like a Level 1 Dragonite, it is still a standardised means to find and inquire for the Pokémon you require.

Only one Pokémon can be placed in the GTS at a time under the basic plan for Pokémon Home. Up to three Pokémon can be deposited by premium members.

Follow these instructions if you wish to use the GTS:

To access the app’s trade functionality, tap the “Trade” option at the top of the screen.

  • Choose “GTS.”
  • Putting down Pokémon
  • Select “Deposit Pokémon” if you want to deposit a Pokémon.
  • Select “Deposit” from the Pokémon you want to deposit.
Fill up the blanks with the Pokémon’s name, gender, level, and game.
  • You can also leave a pre-written message for possible traders in the final field
  • Select “Continue with these Conditions” once all fields have been filled.

You’ll notice a symbol in the GTS option on the trading screen once a trainer has accepted your deal. To begin a cutscene where your new Pokémon will be sent to you, open the GTS and tap on your deposited Pokémon.

If you’re looking for a Pokémon, you’ve come to the right place.

Choose “Pokémon Search” from the drop-down menu.
Fill in the fields for the Pokémon you want to find.

The option to “include people searching for Legendary and Mythical Pokémon” will be ticked by default, but if you wish to exclude them, uncheck it.

Select “Search with these conditions” once all fields have been filled.
The name of the Pokémon that the trainer wants will appear on the screen, along with a list of your selected Pokémon.

The ability, nature, and PokeBall in which the Pokémon you’re looking for was captured will all be displayed in Pokémon Home.
If you accept, tap on the Pokémon you want and select “Ok.”

If you have the Pokémon the trainer is looking for, you’ll be transported to your boxes to choose which one to deliver.
Once you’ve made your choice, a cutscene will appear. WONDER BOX FOR POKÉMON.

Put a Pokémon in your Wonder Box that you’d like to trade. Your Pokémon will be traded for another player’s Pokémon from their own Wonder Box when some time has passed.

A Wonder Box can only hold three Pokémon at a time for basic Pokémon Home members. Members with a premium pass can save up to 10 Pokémon.

Follow these instructions to use the Wonder Box:

  • To access the trade options, tap the “Trade” tab at the top of the screen.
  • Wonder Box should be selected.
  • To get to your Pokémon Home box, tap on the + sign.
Select the Pokémon you want to put in the Wonder Box by tapping on it.
  • Hit the green back button at the bottom of the screen when you’re done.
  • When these Pokémon are exchanged, you’ll be notified.

ROOM FOR EXCHANGE

Trainers who want to trade can use the Trade Room in Pokémon Home as an online lobby. Trainers can find a trading partner more easily by creating or joining a room.

Depending on the room, you may not know which Pokémon is being traded until the transaction is done.

Premium members can engage in and host their own Trade Rooms, while those who utilise the free version of Pokémon Home will only be allowed to participate in Trade Rooms.

If you’re interested in getting involved with Trade Rooms, here’s how to get started:

To access the trade options, tap the “Trade” tab at the top of the screen.

Choose “Trade Room” from the drop-down menu. Putting Together a Trade Room

Choose “Create a Trade Room” from the drop-down menu.
To see if Pokémon may be viewed before being traded, select “visible” or “not visible.”
You will be given a trade room ID and a scan code to share.
Getting Involved in a Trade Room

Players can join a Trade Room by scanning a code or entering a room ID.
Another option is to randomly join a Trade Room. This can only be done three times every day, but you’ll be thrown into a chamber where you can trade with people from all over the world.

TRADE WITH FRIENDS

To trade with a friend, you must first add them. To add friends and accept friend requests, follow these simple steps.

Select “Add Friend” from the drop-down menu.
If you have a pending friend request, click it and either “yes” or “no.”
If you need to add a buddy, you can enter their code or scan a code pattern if you are close by (This is also where you can find your friend code for you to share with others)

You can either go to the “Friends” tab and select a friend from the list to trade with. There will be a “trade” button.

You can also select “Friend Trade” from the “Trade” tab.

When you press “Trade,” a request will be sent to your friend through GPS. You’ll be able to trade Pokémon once your friend has agreed.

For Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, Pokémon Home is now available.
