A father-son duo has been arrested for smuggling gold at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport by the customs department.

A father-son duo has been arrested for smuggling gold at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport by the customs department. The duo was smuggling gold hidden in artificial handicraft jewellery. They had hidden over one kilogram of gold in cylindricl pipes.

It took six hours for the customs department to retrieve the gold which is worth Rs 54.70 lakh. The accused revealed during interrogation that they have smuggled gold worth Rs 84 lakh earlier as well.
