Dávid Julián Dobrk is a well-known Internet figure. Before starting his vlog on YouTube in 2015, he gained early popularity on the video-sharing app Vine. He co-founded the photography app Dispo in 2019.

David Dobrik Biography

Dobrik is best known as the leader of the popular YouTube group The Vlog Squad, which appears frequently in his vlogs and consists of a rotating group of his friends.

Dobrik’s vlog channel had 18.3 million members and approximately 7 billion views as of January 2022. With 2.4 billion views in 2019, the channel was the seventh most popular creator channel on YouTube.

Dobrik has also voiced characters in The Angry Birds Movie 2, served as a judge on Nickelodeon’s America’s Most Musical Family, presented a SpongeBob SquarePants special, and hosted the inaugural season of Discovery Channel’s reality competition show Dodgeball Thunderdome.

David Dobrik Career

Dobrik created his first Vine video in 2013. He collaborated on Vine with Liza Koshy, Gabbie Hanna, Jason Nash, and Zane & Heath, among others.

Dobrik was a member of the YouTube group Second Class before beginning his own channel. In 2015, Dobrik created his own YouTube channel.

This channel’s videos have featured comedy vlogs based on real-life circumstances and semi-scripted segments since its debut, involving many of his old Vine partners.

Dobrik launched his second channel, David Dobrik Too, in August 2016, where he shares blooper reels, challenge videos, and more direct sponsorship partnerships.

David Dobrik as a 2019 Sexiest Heartthrob

Dobrik was awarded Sexiest Heartthrob of 2019 by People magazine in November, beating out runner-ups Harry Styles and Shawn Mendes.

Dobrik was a guest judge in the first episode of the ninth season of Chopped Junior and was one of the presenters at the 2019 American Music Awards.

Dobrik was named the fifth-most-viewed creator on YouTube in December 2019, with 2.4 billion views, according to YouTube Rewind 2019.

Dobrik joined Ciara and Debbie Gibson as judges on Nickelodeon’s America’s Most Musical Family musical competition in 2019.

Dobrik released the Dispo smartphone camera app in January 2020.

Dobrik debuted his fragrance brand David’s Perfume with Flower Shop Perfumes Co. in October 2020.

This alliance has reached its objective of registering 200,000 voters for the 2020 election, with a total of 300,000 registered voters.

People magazine named Dobrik Sexiest YouTube Star of 2020 in November 2020, beating out runner-ups Donal Skehan and Korean Englishmen Josh Carrott and Ollie Kendal. Dobrik was one of the presenters for the American Music Awards of 2020 in the same month.

Dobrik was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for the year 2021 in the social media category in December 2020. Dobrik was also named one of Forbes’ top-paid YouTube stars for 2020.

In the same month, Dobrik and Keke Palmer produced a year-end special on Facebook Watch called “Peace Out 2020,” which featured notable moments and memes from the year 2020.

Spotify hired Dobrik to narrate Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein in January 2021, one of a dozen celebrity collaborations to boost their audiobook portfolio.
