ASUS F512JA-AS34 VivoBook 15 Thin and Light Laptop Review
I really like this purchase. The Core i3 1005G1, 128GB NVME SSD, and 8GB RAM. It feels very full of life and responsive. The fingerprint login is super fast. It is one of the reasons I got it over the cheaper Acer. I got this because of the most basic specifications. But I did not want to settle for anything less than a 10th generation Intl Core or 4000 series AMD Ryzen. I really would not change a thing about it for the price.
Except that it should have had 250GB to 500GB of storage. My laptop has 32GB of RAM but 8GB. But this laptop does not feel slow at all. No slowdown from Asus at all. Office365 being pre-installed in three separate languages is unforgivable by Microsoft. The Windows S Mode is irritating. It disabling the only reason I had to set up this laptop. Although Windows S mode might be the reason it has so little bloatware installed.
ASUS VivoBook 15 compact laptop with ultra-slim 5.7 mm
The ASUS VivoBook 15 is a compact laptop. It immerses you in whatever one should set out to do. Its new frameless four-sided NanoEdge display boasts an ultra-slim with a 5.7mm bezel. It is giving an amazing 88% screen-to-body ratio for supremely immersive visuals. The ErgoLift hinges design also moves the keyboard up for more comfortable typing. The VivoBook 15 is powered by an Intel Core i3 processor to help one to get things done with the least amount of interest.
The Pros:
Ports. Wow, it so nice to have 4 USB ports. It is one of them being USB-C; NVME SSD; 1920×1080 display with decent brightness. The Core i3 is super responsive. It is lightweight and slim. Thin edge. A very premium feeling plastic case like it better than the aluminum HP. Qualities it replaced and is far lighter. The Excellent keyboard and trackpad.
The Cons:
No RJ45 wired LAN. For the price, it exceeds my exceptions in everything except the storage. It is 128GB is on the small side. I would rather upgrade the storage. Later than buy something else with a larger drive. The LCD could use darker, blacks, but that is picking up at a small detail at this price point. The viewing angles are on the poorer side. But I don’t care about that.
Conclusion
The ASUS VivoBook 15 is a compact laptop is an amazing laptop. For the basic uses of typing documents, listening to music, watching movies, surfing the net. And also for basic uses. Its Long battery life makes it an awesome full-day use device. If someone is really looking to buy a laptop under Rs.15,000 then, just go for it to grab.
