How to Get a Black Diamond Ski Sword in Fallout 76’s Flavors of Mayhem Quest Guide
There are a lot of odd quests in Fallout 76 that lead to exotic weapons.
If you follow this guide, you should be able to complete the game.
If you’ve made it this far, you’ve already met Rose and visited her Top of the World location.
To begin “Flavors of Mayhem,” travel to the second level and modify Rose’s Syringer with the things you’ve been given at the workbench highlighted on your map.
It’s best to do it as soon as possible, as the crafting supplies may expire.
With a Karma Syringe, shoot a Yao Guai.
After you’ve got everything ready, go find a Yao Guai and shoot it with the Karma Barrel you just constructed.
To do so, follow the directions on the map to the marked spot shown below. If possible, Fast Travel to the Seneca Rocks Visitor Center and then head north.
The combat is rather simple after you’ve located the beast. It will get angry once you shoot it with the syringe.
Simply circle around some nearby trees for cover if this happens. It will eventually tyre, at which point you should go in with your most powerful weapon. Repeat until the adversary is defeated.
Any Tinker’s Workbench can be used to make explosive bait.
Making Explosive Bait is the next phase. The map shows you where to find the materials and the bench you’ll need to make them. Navigate to the “Mines” category on the bench and pick Explosive Bait.
By placing the meat and watching a carnivore grab it, you can use it on any adversary in the indicated region. Even if the bait does not burst, the quest will frequently continue.
Make friends with a Deathclaw by approaching it.
To add to the strangeness, you must now “approach a Deathclaw and’make friends.'” That just involves approaching one and pushing a button to interact with it (preferably when it isn’t looking).
When you’re finished, you’ll be given the option of killing or fleeing. It makes no difference which option you choose.
If it spots you, using trees and ridges to create distance between you and your attacker is your greatest protection.
Take anything from a Super Mutant Camp.
After that, you must steal a Missile Launcher from a Super Mutant camp that has been tagged. Simply follow the marker to the item.
The camp itself isn’t well-defended, so whether you’re hiding behind rocks and sniping or fighting in melee, you should be fine. These Mutants are much the same as the ones you’ve encountered throughout the game.
Once you’ve entered the specified structure, remember to plunder the Mutants and the camp itself.
With your Missile Launcher in hand, proceed to the Savage Divide either by fast travel or on foot from the Whitespring Resort.
Kill a few Feral Ghouls in the designated circle, or anywhere else for that matter, and you’ll receive the Black Diamond Ski Sword. To get it, go to Rose in the Top of the World.
