Two more cruise lines will now provide Starlink internet onboard their ships. Windstar Cruises recently began testing Elon Musk’s SpaceX service on board their Star Pride vessel during a Caribbean voyage and plans to roll it out across other ships as well, the line announced this week.
Starlink will supplement Anuvu’s current internet service, according to a news release.
“We are thrilled to be working with Anuvu and Starlink to bring our guests the very latest in satellite technology,” Windstar Cruises Gregg Wagner, Windstar’s technology director, stated in a release. “Faster speeds will help alleviate some of the frustration experienced during peak usage times.”
American Queen Voyages recently announced the installation of Starlink service on its ships, complete with antennas and 5G cellular backup, as reported by the cruise line earlier this month.

American Queen Voyages announce that Starlink be “install, test, and ready for use on all vessels before they sail in 2023,” as per a news release. Currently, the line offers the service on American Countess, American Queen and Ocean Navigator ships.
