When Ranbir Kapoor Spoke About Deepika Padukone Crushing Badly On ‘Hot Director’ Imtiaz Ali: “Maine Socha Ki Main Jalu Nahin

Deepika Padukone and Imtiaz Ali share a special relationship in the industry, and everyone loves their friendship. He’s cast her in movies like Love Aaj Kal and Tamasha, showing that they both sincerely respect one another.

Imtiaz first cast Deepika in Love Aaj Kal in 2009, and she went on to play one of her most significant roles – Veronica – in 2012’s Cocktail, also written by him.

In 2015, Imtiaz cast her alongside Ranbir for Tamasha alongside Ranbir; during one of its promotions, Deepika revealed that DP has an intense crush on Imtiaz.

Recently, an old video featuring Imtiaz Ali, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone appeared online where Ranbir revealed his feelings towards Imtiaz.

On The Kapil Sharma Show, when asked if Deepika often flirted with the director, Ranbir replied “Jab Deepika ki dusriya ya teesri film thi Love Aaj Kal wo script sunne gayi.”

Ranbir Kapoor noted how Deepika Padukone and Imtiaz Ali both blushed when Ranbir said the actress had become mesmerised with Imtiaz’s personality.

He went on to explain why he initially stayed away from him; “Tab se meri thodi inke (Imtiaz) sath…(distance ho gayi). Maine socha ki main jalu nahi, khud hi chahad jata hoon.”

When asked if it were all true, Pathan actress denied it completely.

But Sidhu Singh quickly observed her body language to suggest otherwise and so whatever Ranbir said stood as truth in her eyes.
