About Statue of Unity
The Statue of Unity is a great of an Indian politician. The independence activist named Vallabhbhai Patel in the years of1875 to 1950. He was the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of independent India. Set of ideas of Mahatma Gandhi during the non-violent Indian Independence movement.
Patel highly respects the leadership in uniting around 562 princely states of India. A significant part of the former British Raj to form the single Union of India. The statue is located in Gujarat in India and is the world’s tallest statue, about 182 meters, and 597 feet.

The Southeast of the city of Vadodara and 150 kilometers with 93 mi from Surat. Kevadia railway station is locating at a distance of just 5 kilometers from the Statue of Unity.
First announced this project in the year 2010. The construction of the statue started in the year October 2013 by Larsen and Toubro. The total construction cost of around Rs.2,989 crore and Rs. 29.89 billion to US$422 million.
It is conceiving in detail by the Indian sculptor Ram V. Sutar started through the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the year 31 October 2018, on the 143rd anniversary of Sardar Patel’s birth.
The History of Statue of Unity
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi first announced the project to celebrate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 7 October 2013 at a press conference. Marks his 10th year at the time, the project is given an unofficial name as Gujarat’s tribute to the nation.
Separate Society naming Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust was SVT. It was formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, Government of Gujarat, to put into the project.
Started an extent drive named the Statue of Unity Movement to support the statue’s construction that helped collect the iron needed for the sculpture by asking many farmers to donate their used farming instruments through 2016. A total of around135 metric tonnes of scrap iron had collected.
Around 109 tonnes of scrap is using to make the foundation of the statue after the processing. A marathon called Run For Unity was held on the year 15 December 2013 in Surat. And Vadodara in support of the project.
The Features of Statue of Unity
1. The 182 meters tall is the world’s highest Statue of Unity in Gujarat
The statue is forming as a derived depiction of India’s Iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The observation decorates level in the figure is at approximately chest height. The 300-meter long bridge that is connects the mainland near M&VC. Sadhu Bet islets, where the statue’s construction architecturally beautiful bridge has about nine visible piers. The river’s water surrounds the 26-meter big bridge has an airport-style travellator on both sides of the deck. It is a middle bridge road.
4. The Statue Base
It is an Exhibition Hall and Gallery at the base of the statue. The floor contains a two-level, expressing Memorial Garden on its roof gives accounts of life.
