On their numerous social networks, the World Wrestling Council confirmed Starman’s passing.
Unfortunately, we must inform you that masked wrestler Starman passed away on September 23, 2022 at 47 years old. His original home of Mexico Metropolis had to be farewell to this world.
World Wrestling Council confirmed the tragic passing of Starman, whom they had employed as a wrestler since 1998.
An official statement posted by them across various social networking platforms read, “CMLL joins the sentence that seizes his fighting family for this delicate demise.”
Several well-known people in Mexican wrestling also offered their accounts of what transpired.
The World Wrestling Council shares in the grief felt throughout the wrestling community at the sudden passing of Starman, a competitor who had an illustrious career while representing this organization.
“We express our deepest sympathies and offer our support to his family and friends during this time of unspeakable grief.
“Relaxation in Peace”.
Who Was Starman?
Starman was an experienced Mexican wrestler who began competing as a tecnico in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) from 1996.
Born on December 16th 1974 and passing away September 23th 2022 – no one knew his real identity at that time, which is common practice among Mexican masked wrestlers whose private lives may be kept hidden from fans.
Starman’s identity never became public knowledge due to his profession as well as other commitments such as family matters he led prior to joining CMLL.
Starman began his professional career on April 30, 1994 in Naucalpan under the stage name Ultraman Jr. He achieved success quickly, earning himself two sets of masks from Tortuguillo Karateka IV (one of many Ninja Turtles) while stationed there.
By 1995, he had completed his initial journey to Japan and was competing in Professional Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi that July.
Later that same month, he joined forces with Photo voltaic and Tremendous Astro for the first time to reestablish Cadetes del Espacio.
In the early Nineteen Eighties, Photovoltaic, Tremendous Astro and Ultraman formed an acclaimed high flying squad known as The Cadetes.
After that he started competing in freestyle wrestling matches for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
On January 23, 1996, he made his CMLL debut by defeating Fiero, America, and Linx in a team matchup against Alacran de Durango and Olimpus.
At one point, he took part in the CMLL World Welterweight Championship held at Block B. Karloff Lagarde Jr. won the opening round of competition and left him without legal recourse with Ultraman’s name (not a relative).
Even before making his debut, however, the owner of that name had been engaged in litigation with him.
After this decision, he chose to use the moniker Starman. On the undercard of CMLL’s 1999 Ruleta de la Muerte pay-per-view event, he made his first appearance as part of an “underpresent” team with Astro Rey Jr., El Oriental, Tigre Blanco and Mr. Guila; however they were ultimately defeated by Zumbido, El Satanico, Valentin Mayo, Virus and Rencor Latino.
On March 17, 2000, he made his first appearance in a match of this magnitude alongside Tigre Blanco, Mascara Magica, Astro Rey Jr., Antifaz Tony Rivera Safari and Olimpico.
No matter how hard they tried, Arkangel de la Muerte, Dr. O’Borman, Ultimo Guerrero, Zumbido, Rencor Latino, Mr. Mexico Violencia and Rey Bucanero would remain undefeated.
On January 1, 2001, Ultraman Jr. returned as Ultraman Jr. once more, only to be defeated by Arkangel de la Muerte in a match on a Japanese card co-promoted by Atsushi Onita.
This disappearance of the masks was never acknowledged or mentioned even in his native nation at any point.
In 2005, Starman returned to Japan to compete in wrestling, this time for the New Japan Professional-Wrestling promotion (NJPW).
Unfortunately, he lost his debut match against Japanese icon Tiger Masks and after months of waiting, he finally made it onto CMLL occasions once more.
Starman’s Death as a Trigger
At present, the wrestling group has yet to disclose any information regarding the cause of death.

Since 1984, the person known as Starman–wearing the iconic pink bodysuit–has been shrouded in secrecy.
Since the launch of Professional Wrestling on NES in 1986, we’ve gained little to no information on him.
His ring name remains mysterious, and we’ve never seen his face. Even more mysterious is where his delivery took place; Mexico was listed as his nationality but its bio for the game features a question mark after it.

Starman’s Early Life
Starman began his career in 1994 under the moniker Ultraman Jr. (he had no relation to the original Ultraman), but eventually changed it to Starman which quickly gained notoriety for its similar aesthetic to that of legendary Japanese figure.
After receiving instruction from Arturo Beristain (Talisman-Son of the Gladiator), he embarked on a successful career outside Mexico.
Becoming part of Photo voltaic and Tremendous Astro’s efforts to reorganize House Cadets wasn’t enough for him; he desired greater fulfillment.
In 1996, the EML began their battle against Ultraman Jr. He then changed his identity to Starman during a visit to Japan in 2001; however, Arkangel de la Muerte stole his masks again and this time used them for mask-swapping in Mexico where he continued as Ultraman Jr.
Since that time, he has remained a member of the CMLL. Unfortunately, due to accidents and other personal issues, he had to retire from wrestling in 2019, though he returned the following year.
His most recent bout, which occurred in August 2021, occurred while he was employed with the Medical Doctors Colony group in 2021.
Following that, he appeared in several roles as an independent actor during 2022 and won masks of Tortuguillo Karateka IV, Fiero and Son of the Signal for these roles.
