Siddhant Chaturvedi recently disclosed to The Lallantop that he refused to audition for a role in Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva. “One month prior to Gully Boy, this happened: the makers of an immensely large film which eventually became the biggest one offered me a part. Through casting director, it was one of several characters with no script or audition requirements – it was an action fantasy film which has since become hugely successful; their casting director suggested I do martial arts for it as it had no audition or script requirement either After I asked about audition and lines details – which they answered that it would take five years and was very complex.”
Siddhant denied Brahmastra a place at Brahmastra’s table
Siddhant mentioned Brahmastra and meeting Ayan Mukerji. As soon as he heard there would be no script at that stage, Siddhant inquired with Ayan about a three-film contract, but Ayan assured him there wouldn’t be one either way.
Due to uncertainty regarding his role and the ongoing debate about “Brahmastra hit or flop,” Siddhant refused auditioning because big names such as Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt were part of it, and he felt nobody would notice him.
Siddhant was blacklisted from casting, because people believed that he was crazy. I became known throughout the casting circuit for declining roles they offered him and becoming known for refusing them outright. Siddhant reported hearing terms such as arrogance and cocky in regards to this experience.
Brahmastra (2022), a fantasy action-adventure film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji was produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar, Namit Malhotra, Ayan Mukerji under Dharma Productions Starlight Pictures Prime Focus with Amitabh Bachchan Ranbir Kapoor Alia Bhatt Mouni Roy Nagarjuna Shah Rukh Khan Deepika Padukone in supporting roles.
