Story of the film

Satyendra aka Sattu, the character is acted by the actor Rajkummar Rao. Aarti, the figure is performed by the actress Kriti Kharbanda. Both of them meet for a proposed arranged marriage, and they fall in love in the process. On the night of their wedding, an unexpected turn of the events which turn their world upside down. Their marriage did not happen on that particular day. The day of the wedding her sister Abha, the character is acted by the actress Nayani Dixit. She learns that Sattu’s mother won’t allow Aarti to work. The results of the PCS exam which is attempted by Aarti are out, and she also passes it successfully. Abha sister of aarti has advised that she should run away from the marriage and gain professionally. Otherwise, her in-laws will destroy her life just like how Abha’s in-laws destroyed Abha’s life. So, Aarti runs away, and sattu got upset with this.

Five years later, both of them cross the paths, and the story takes an exciting turn when Sattu, now an IAS officer, who is assigned the case of the framed PCS officer Aarti. He tries to make revenge from the Aarti by humiliating her during the case inquiry. But finally, Satyendra finds that Aarti is not guilty, and he convinces the Jury of the same. Aarti is happy that she is free and appreciated sattu for doing this. Once again, she tries to convince him to marry her, but Satyendra is hurt and does not want to marry anyone. The drama is long for some time, but both the couples decided to get married.
