Rudy Giuliani Spouse: Few people have hit rock bottom, only to keep hitting it, more times in recent years than Rudy Giuliani. Once hailed as “America’s Mayor,” his name is rarely mentioned nowadays without someone asking “what happened to that guy?” So it comes as no shock that he reportedly owes one of his ex-wives $250,000 and could go to jail if not made good on his apparent debts.
Page Six reports that Judith Giuliani, the third wife of former mayor Rudy Giuliani, has filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband alleging in a sworn affidavit that he owes her $140,000 for their Palm Beach property, $70,000 in country club dues and $45,000 for household help.
Rudy Giuliani SpouseIn her court filing, Judith stated that Rudy “has made inconsistent and sporadic payments to me, including a $10,000 check in June 2021 which was returned due to insufficient funds.” She has demanded that he pay her immediately with interest, according to Page Six, and maintains that despite what must have been a recent blow to his finances, he still has enough money. “He owns multiple properties in New York City and Palm Beach [and it appears] he has significant earnings from media-related contracts and deals,” she stated.
Should Rudy choose not to pay the fees, his ex-lawyer’s lawyers, who claim he is in contempt of court for not making payments, will likely seek jail time. “Your failure to appear in court may result in immediate arrest or imprisonment for contempt of court,” the filing reads, according to Page Six.
In April 2018, after 15 years of marriage, Judith filed for divorce and began a bitter legal battle to divide their assets. A former lawyer of Judith’s accused Rudy of working pro bono for Trump to reduce his income and thus the amount of alimony he was required to pay his former spouse. Judith also claimed Rudy stole her Christmas decorations, while he claimed they took “his TV remote controls and cable box so he couldn’t watch himself on TV,” per Page Six.
(The former mayor has denied both working for Trump to reduce his alimony payments and taking the decorations.) For those trying to piece together the former mayor’s love life, his first marriage was to his cousin; this was followed by 18 years with Donna Hanover, mother of his two children who learned of his departure during a press conference.
According to Judith’s lawyer who spoke to Page Six, despite allegedly being shorted $262,000, Judith is doing “great”. Rudy on the other hand has been ordered to testify before a Georgia special grand jury regarding his former client’s attempt to overturn a presidential election; we assume on his way back home via Atlanta International Airport that he will stop off for some pampering at LongHorn Steakhouse before departing for New York.
