Rock Lee is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Naruto created by Masashi Kishimotoand. Rock Lee wife name is TenTen. Lee is a member of Team Guy. His son name is Metal Lee.

He lacked the skills to utilise ninjutsu or genjutsu, unlike other shinobi.

He overcomes these flaws, however, by receiving unique instruction from Might Guy that allows him to become a taijutsu master while still a genin.

Rock Lee Background

Lee demonstrated no aptitude for ninjutsu or genjutsu during his tenure at the Academy.

Lee persevered, focused on taijutsu in the face of ridicule from his colleagues.

He was added to Team Guy, along with Neji Hyga and Tenten, once he graduated.

Lee pledged to become a powerful ninja without utilising ninjutsu or genjutsu during the team’s first meeting.

Their sensei, Might Guy, took a special interest in Lee and laughed at him. He pushed Lee to keep going and eventually began teaching him powerful taijutsu techniques.

Rock Lee Personality

Lee has taken on many of his sensei’s personality attributes under Guy’s guidance: he is active, cheerful, and hot-blooded, and he is the definition of a “good guy.”

He believes that one cannot detest food and is extremely committed to his commitments; when this promise is breached, he assigns himself difficult training to ensure that it does not happen again.

Lee always addresses individuals with suitable honorifics and never uses abbreviations or swear words when speaking to them (except his teammates, since Lee feels they are close enough to be spoken to informally).

He also has a little book and a pencil with him to help him remember the counsel Guy has given him throughout time.

Despite his fiery personality, Lee has demonstrated sound judgement, remaining focused on the task at hand and rarely losing his cool.

He has a strong sense of honour and respect for his opponents, refusing to harbour grudges against those who have defeated him and repaying those who have aided him.

This was demonstrated by his friendship with Gaara, who forgave him for crushing his arm and leg, injuries that nearly terminated his shinobi career.

Lee believes that others should treat their opponents with the same respect that he does, and he is outraged whenever someone is unduly nasty to them.

Lee’s determination to succeed is a recurring motif throughout the series, with him believing that with enough hard effort and perseverance, he can outperform a natural genius.

When faced with setbacks, he is prone to depression. Lee’s talented teammate and rival, Neji, thought Lee’s efforts were futile, claiming that a “failure” could never defeat a “genius.

” As a result, Lee grew adamant about defeating Neji in order to show him wrong, but he was always defeated.

When Neji is vanquished by Naruto Uzumaki, another so-called “failure,” he rejects his concept in fate and now admires Lee, believing that with enough effort, he can surpass the brilliant.

Lee confessed his affections for Sakura Haruno in Part I. After he saved her from the Otogakure genin during the Chnin Exams, she became more appreciative and cordial towards him, despite the fact that she did not return his sentiments and even thought he was strange.

After the examinations, Lee’s fascination with Sakura was mostly ignored in the manga, but it was occasionally mentioned in the anime; during a match with Lee, Naruto turned into Sakura, distracting Lee long enough for Naruto to strike him.

Lee’s Infinite Tsukuyomi dream, on the other hand, was of earning Sakura’s love, showing that he still had romantic feelings for her.

By adulthood, Lee’s feelings had evidently altered, since he married someone else and had a son named Metal Lee.

Naruto refers to Lee as “Centipede Brows” (, Gejimayu, English TV: Bushy Brows) because of his lustrous black hair, round eyes with pronounced lower eyelashes, and thick eyebrows.

His hair was long and braided as a child, but by the time he joins Team Guy, he has chopped it short and let it curl out and upward.

Lee wore a white kimono-shirt with short sleeves, a martial arts belt, and dark leggings to give him a more traditional Chinese appearance. He also wore shinobi sandals and a forehead protector.

Lee then modifies his appearance to match his idol and sensei, Guy: his hair is now bowl-cut, he wears a green jumpsuit, orange leg warmers, and a red forehead protector worn as a belt, and he wears a green jumpsuit, orange leg warmers, and a red forehead protector worn as a belt.

His forearms are wrapped in bandages up to his fingers, concealing a set of stitches on his hands caused by his tough training.

Lee, like Guy, maintains a relatively consistent appearance throughout the series, though he does add a normal Konoha flak jacket as a chnin in Part II, and a revised one in The Last: Naruto the Movie.

Lee’s cheekbones have become more prominent as an adult, and he now wears a sleeveless jumpsuit with an orange neckwarmer.

Rock Lee Ability To Fight

Lee was ridiculed at the Academy for his inability to employ either ninjutsu or genjutsu.

Lee, on the other hand, conditioned himself into a fantastic ninja who relies solely on taijutsu thanks to Might Guy’s direction and assistance.

Lee proved to be a late bloomer in Part I, when he defeated Sasuke Uchiha (a natural genius), challenged Gaara in the Chnin Exams, and held his own against Kimimaro, despite being severely limited in that talent.

He was able to fight the legendary taijutsu master Chen as well as smash a meteorite on his own as a chnin.

He had risen to the level of jnin by the time he reached maturity.

Rock Lee Physical Abilities

Lee’s gruelling training had turned him into a taijutsu master by the age of 13, with exceptional proficiency in the Strong Fist combat style.

He had the strength to excavate a large tree root from the ground and the speed to outrun a two-tomoe Sharingan.

Lee had been wearing hefty ankle weights as part of his training, which when removed greatly boost his speed and agility, allowing him to become the first person to ever bypass Gaara’s Shield of Sand and attack him.

Lee learnt to perform the Leaf Great Gale (, Konoha Dairepp) as a chnin. Due to Lee’s considerable training, he has demonstrated the ability to run and fight while unconscious or asleep, relying solely on muscle memory.

Lee is regarded as one of Konoha’s top taijutsu practitioners as an adult.

Fist of Drunkenness

Lee has a natural affinity for the Drunken Fist method due to his limited tolerance for alcohol.

Lee becomes an unpredictable and nearly unstoppable force of devastation and chaos when he eats even a single drop of alcohol, attacking anyone, friend or foe.

This increases his speed and dexterity, allowing him to strike and evade effectively from a variety of locations.

Lee’s assault patterns with Drunken Fist eventually overwhelmed Kimimaro, one of Orochimaru’s strongest minions, who noted that they were too unpredictable to follow.

The Gates of Eight

Lee learnt to open five of the Eight Gates at the age of twelve, the sixth gate at seventeen, and the seventh gate (in the anime) sometime after the Fourth Shinobi World War, thanks to Guy’s teachings.

Lee had mastered the final gate by the time he reached maturity. Lee is able to save Guy from Madara’s Truth Seeking Ball by using the 6th gate, which moved so quickly that Obito couldn’t use Kamui to get away from them.

Kakashi Hatake hails him as a genius for accomplishing this accomplishment, noting that even the most talented ninja struggle to unlock even one gate.

Lee’s strength, speed, chakra levels, and bodily functions all improve dramatically with each gate he opens.

The longer he keeps any of these gates open, however, the more strain and probable bodily harm he imposes on himself by pushing his performance so far beyond his natural boundaries.

As a result, Lee is only allowed to open any of the gates in the most dire of circumstances or to defend something very important to him.

Lee has improved his ability to open some of the Eight Gates instantaneously and has a faster recovery rate from utilising them as a result of his continual training, but he still succumbs to the pain or tiredness they induce.

Lee has learned to use a variety of taijutsu techniques that he can use once certain gates have been opened; with the first gate, he can use the pile-driving Front Lotus; with the third gate, he can use the more destructive Reverse Lotus; and with the sixth gate, he can use the Crane Wing Formation in collaboration with members of the Suicide Corps, which proved powerful enough to destroy the Suicide Corps.

Rock Lee Other abilities

Despite his lack of ninjutsu proficiency, Lee can still perform fundamental chakra control techniques, such as using chakra to walk on vertical surfaces and across water.

He also achieved enough proficiency to dispel genjutsu in the anime.

Exams for Chunin

Team Guy, along with the Rookie Nine, took part in the Chnin Exams after opting out the year before.

They tried to hide their true strength by interfering with a battle between Sasuke and Kotetsu Hagane, but Lee accidently revealed his true strength by interfering with a fight between Sasuke and Kotetsu Hagane.

He was also smitten by Sakura. Soon after, he addressed Sasuke, challenging him to a fight to see how he would fair against the Sharingan, but not before knocking out Naruto, who attempted to fight Lee.

Lee easily defeated Sasuke, however Guy halted Lee and Sasuke’s fight as Lee attempted to use the Front Lotus, forcing Lee to complete circuits around the practise range before moving on to the first part of the tests.

He completed the written portion with Tenten’s assistance and advanced to the second round.

After spending the first several days gathering supplies in the Forest of Death, Team Guy split up in search of other groups.

Lee came to Sakura’s help after seeing her being attacked by Team Dosu.

He utilised his Front Lotus on Dosu Kinuta, but he was able to withstand the attack thanks to Zaku Abumi’s ground-based Decapitating Airwaves, and Lee was unable to defend himself against Dosu’s counterattack.

Neji and Tenten arrived quickly to assist, but they didn’t required to because Sasuke had awoken and had taken care of Team Dosu.

They went on to the preliminaries after Lee recovered and they had gathered the specific scroll.

Lee was pitted against Gaara in the preliminary round. When his usual attacks failed to penetrate Gaara’s defences, he removed his ankle weights to improve his speed and was able to hit Gaara twice.

Then he tried the Forward Lotus, but Gaara managed to elude him at the last moment, presenting a sand clone instead.

Guy allowed him to utilise the Reverse Lotus since his options were running out if he wanted to win and establish himself. Gaara just escaped by turning his gourd into sand as a cushion, and Lee’s body suffered much as a result of the tactics.

Lee’s wounds was worse by Gaara crushing his left arm and leg. While Guy’s intervention to prevent Gaara from murdering him, Lee stood up and continued the fight despite being fully unconscious.

Medics anticipated that Lee’s injuries would prevent him from ever being able to be a shinobi again, even if he recovered fully.

Despite this, he attempted to train while in the hospital, which only made his condition worse.

Gaara entered his room while he was sleeping and attempted to kill him, but he was prevented by Naruto and Shikamaru Nara, and subsequently by Guy.

Guy took Lee to see the final round matches in an attempt to cheer him up, but they were horrified to learn that Neji had been defeated by Naruto when they arrived.

Lee silently congratulated Naruto before watching Gaara’s fight with Sasuke and marvelling at how quickly he had picked up on Lee’s speed.

The Konoha Crush began before the fight could be finished, and Lee was knocked out.

Crush of Konoha

Konoha Crush Lee may be seen lamenting the loss of the Third Hokage alongside the other villagers at his funeral.

Sasuke’s Rescue Mission

Guy tried a number of home cures to heal Lee over the next few weeks, but none of them worked.

They didn’t find optimism until they learned about Tsunade’s promotion to Hokage.

However, when she examined Lee, she informed him of his dire situation: his broken bones and torn muscles had healed, but bone fragments had lodged in his spinal column, requiring an extensive operation that only she could perform.

Lee was apprehensive to accept Tsunade’s offer of a procedure that had a fifty percent probability of returning him to his previous state or killing him in the process.

Lee accepted the surgery despite his fears that he would die during the procedure, thanks to Guy’s influence.

Lee proposed that Neji join Naruto, Chji Akimichi, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shikamaru on their quest to bring Sasuke back to Konoha after overhearing them discussing it.

Lee was sad that he couldn’t join them because he still needed to go through his surgery later that day (In the anime, Lee was recovering after having his surgery done the day before). In the end, Lee successfully survived the operation.

Lee left the hospital once he was healthy enough to move to follow them and support them.

He caught up with Naruto, who was fighting Kimimaro, and urged him to go after Sasuke while he took care of Kimimaro.

At first, it appeared that Kimimaro had the upper hand, but once Lee mistook sake for medicine, he began to outclass Kimimaro.

Though Lee’s expected manoeuvres surprised Kimimaro, he unveiled his Kekkei Genkai, Shikotsumyaku, which, when combined with Lee’s sobriety, easily won the bout.

Gaara arrived just in time to save Lee before his attack hit him. Even though Lee insisted on fighting beside him, he realised he was simply obstructing Gaara’s progress.

Lee sees Gaara’s new skills for the rest of the battle and is awestruck. Despite Gaara’s new techniques burying Kimimaro completely, Kimimaro replies by turning the battlefield into a forest of bones, which Lee and Gaara escaped by clinging to a couple of little sand clouds.

Kimimaro then arose from one of the bones, ready to murder the two at close range.

However, they were spared when Kimimaro succumbed to his illness and died.

After the battle, Lee and Gaara discuss Kimimaro’s motivations before returning to Konoha.

Mission to Relocate the Kurosuki Family

Lee mentioned in the anime that shortly after being assigned to his team, he ran a marathon with Guy outside the town of Katabami Kinzan, and when he dropped from fatigue near the Curry of Life shop, the owner, Sansh, and her son Karashi served him curry and saved his life.

Karashi became enthused by Lee’s effort, and he later left. When he returned to the hamlet with his teammates and Naruto a year later to beat the Kurosuki family, he discovered Karashi had joined, and he was disappointed that Karashi had sought strength in this manner.

He enabled Karashi to seek redemption, but after their initial encounter with Raiga, Karashi took this opportunity to lead Lee’s company into a trap.

Due to Naruto’s usage of shadow clones, the trap failed, and while the villagers were ready to seek vengeance on Karashi, Lee stepped in and offered to take responsibility for Karashi’s misdeeds.

Karashi took advantage of the opportunity to resurrect Raiga with Ranmaru.

Lee was knocked out but brought back to awareness with the Curry of Life when he went to confront Raiga with Naruto and Neji.

However, the curry contained wine by accident, and Lee became inebriated and performed the Drunken Fist.

He fought Raiga while inebriated, but was defeated, and Naruto defeated Raiga.

When the gang returned to the Curry of Life shop later, they discovered that Karashi had created a new curry that even Naruto refused to eat.

Lee, on the other hand, was ecstatic to sample it, and the rest of the troop had to drag him back to Konoha while he screamed for the curry.

Student-Led Mission at the Academy

The main article is titled “Academy Student-Led Mission.” Lee was given the task of leading a squad of three Academy students on a survival practise in the anime.

After fending off some ‘bandits,’ one of Lee’s charges hailed him as “Lee-sensei” in amazement, and Lee, overjoyed, went off into one of his statements into the sunset, ignoring his students who tried to persuade him he was heading the wrong way.

Strange Visitors Make an Appearance

Strange Visitors’ Appearance is the main article. Guy and Lee left the hamlet on a mission in the anime, and two spies attempted to impersonate them.

Tsunade immediately detected their deception and assigned them a variety of difficult, nasty, or humiliating missions to keep them occupied and prevent them from learning anything.

The imposters leaving the village are spotted by Lee and Guy. The imposters launched an attack, but were chased back to Konoha.

Mission of the Star Guard

Star Guard Mission is the main article. Lee accompanied Neji, Naruto, and Tenten on the mission to Hoshigakure in the anime, but he had a less part than in prior arcs.

He tried to follow two of Akahoshi’s men while hiding under a barrel, as Tenten instructed, but he was quickly detected.

He pretended to employ a jutsu called as “Wall-Removing Technique” to infiltrate Akahoshi’s mansion, but in reality, it included him moving at fast speed to unlock a door from the other side.

During the last battle with Akahoshi, he was injured, leaving Naruto to fight him alone.

In the anime, Lee sought a new method of training after realising that he didn’t have enough time to train with other people owing to the numerous assignments he needed to complete.

Lee found his own dj (which he labels the “Gutz Dj”) after seeing a man challenge a dj, ready to take the sign if he won and willing to join if he lost.

He believes that a dj would attract many powerful opponents. When Naruto came across the DJ, Lee asked him to fight, but Naruto had to hurry because he needed to report back to Tsunade.

Guy chooses to disguise himself after hearing about the DJ from Naruto in order to attack Lee.

However, he was assigned an assignment at the last minute, and an impostor took his place (unbeknownst to Guy).

Lee quickly defeated the fake, but Naruto suspected that the impostor was Guy, and that he wasn’t fighting at full strength to avoid revealing himself, so Naruto challenged Lee and fought him.

Meanwhile, the impostor morphed into Lee, but when attempting to flee, he ran into the real Guy and was quickly defeated.

Arc of the Third Great Beast

The Third Great Beast Arc is the main article. Lee’s condition deteriorated throughout the anime, and Tsunade got frightened that he would injure himself again.

She pulled him from missions, but after he persuaded her to do so, she permitted him to continue training.

Guy appeared with a new pupil about this time, who easily defeated Lee and hurt his ankle.

Guy took the new student on a mission while Lee was healing, leading Lee to feel he had abandoned him.

It was subsequently revealed that the new student was a fake, and that he intended to exact revenge on Guy.

Lee went to Guy’s position, but he was locked in a sparring post fortress.

He and Lee were duped into battling each other by viewing each other as a sparring dummy, but they saw right through it, identifying each other’s fighting style, and used their chakra gates to destroy the dummies without harming the real people, liberating themselves and demolishing the castle.

Konoha is planning a recapture mission. In the anime, Lee and the rest of the Konoha 11 joined forces to prevent Genn from bombing Konoha.

Despite his lack of unique ability, he contributed significantly to the investigation.

While he initially encouraged the Academy students to continue throwing kunai, once he realised that hitting the bull’s eye would set off a chain reaction that would detonate explosives all over Konoha, he caught a kunai in mid-flight just as it was about to hit the target, despite being a long way away.

During the final confrontation, Lee used his taijutsu to defeat Genn.

Gantetsu Escort Mission is the main article. Naruto accompanied Sakura and Lee to escort Gantetsu in the anime.

Lee wound up with Sakura after the ship was torn in half by a metal wire, and they discovered the orphans Gantetsu had cared for.

He fought Shinobazu members outside the hideaway during the raid.

Sunagakure Support Mission is the main article. In the anime, Lee and Naruto assisted Gaara in defeating Seimei, an opponent who used his armour to absorb his enemies’ chakra.

He sparred with Tenten after the mission, who was furious at being the only member of the Konoha 11 left out despite having a task at the time, and observed that they, too, must become stronger in order to confront Naruto when he returned.

Interlude

The Friends’ Paths in Naruto’s Footsteps The Chnin Exams, co-sponsored by Konoha and Suna, are held after about two years in the anime.

Team Guy spots Naruto while waiting to register, much to their astonishment.

However, Neji reveals that the man in the disguise was Konohamaru, who explained that he didn’t want Naruto to miss out on this opportunity because he was abroad.

Konohamaru and his companions depart after some soothing words from Lee and Neji.

All teams were randomly divided into various rooms to take the written test as part of the first stage.

Ino Yamanaka and Shino Aburame were assigned to room 2 with Lee. Shikamaru, the proctor, explained on a monitor that everyone only had to answer one question, but their team’s total score had to be exactly 100 points to pass.

All of the teams that were having trouble figuring out which question to answer based on the particular quantity of vibrations sent through the wall were able to do so thanks to Neji.

Shikamaru surprised everyone by revealing a bonus question, which asked which teammate you would choose if you had to sacrifice a teammate as a decoy in a situation.

However, this was a trick question that didn’t require an answer because it was a test of devotion, which Lee and his team recognised, allowing them to pass the first stage.

However, due to the large number of participants, a race to Suna was held, with only the first 30 teams arriving at the destination qualifying for the second stage.

In the end, his club was one of the first 30 teams to qualify. The genin attempted to prevent Burami from sweating all over the food over supper, but despite their efforts, the food was damaged due to Neji’s Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven unintentionally knocking the dish down.

This resulted in a full-fledged brawl among the genin in the room.

Lee attempted to avoid fighting, but his attack on Shira was ineffective.

When F arrived with her upbeat demeanour, everyone eventually lost interest in fighting.

Lee met Shira afterwards, noting from their earlier interaction that he, too, had faced difficulties, to which Shira replied that genuine determination will triumph in the end.

The second exam began the next day. The teams were handed either a Heaven or an Earth scroll, as in the previous exam in Konoha, and were expected to obtain the other scroll.

They would then have three days to transport the set to the main building in the heart of Demon Desert.

Lee saw a trend as they wandered aimlessly and began marking rocks with kunai, reasoning that they were going in circles.

They find Team Goji and assault them after dispelling the genjutsu, only for Team Shira to intervene and save their fellow Suna-nin. Team Guy, unbeknownst to them, is trapped in another genjutsu by Sen.

Team Guy is caught in quicksand after Sen undoes the genjutsu, and they are dragged down into a waterfall sand pit.

After unlocking the second of the Eight Gates, Lee saves his colleagues and himself from certain death.

They discover Team Shira in difficulty after leaving the hole, as they are being attacked by the wicked Suna-nin.

Team Guy feels motivated to assist Team Shira, prompting Neji to inquire as to why they were assaulted in the first place.

Team Goji had no respect for Shira as a ninja, according to Lee, who deduced that Shira, like him, lacked genjutsu and ninjutsu skills, causing him to be mocked by his colleagues.

Lee walks out, enraged by Team Goji’s disrespect, to persuade them to apologise to Shira.

When this fails, the Suna-nin attack, trapping Lee in a sandstorm that creates the illusion of figures assaulting in order to divert his attention away from the real threat when they strike him with water needles.

Neji and Tenten arrive just as he is about to be executed to save him.

Shira begs the Konoha-nin not to leave them alone before the combat begins, arguing that their dislike of him is his own fault for not training hard enough.

Lee, on the other hand, had the exact opposite opinion, but he and his team eventually came to an agreement.

Shira gave one of the Suna-nin teams his scroll because they had defeated his team earlier.

When Shira’s statements finally reached the enraged Suna-nin, they turned them down and instead handed Shira’s and Lee’s teams their own scrolls, despite the fact that they had lost the combat.

Shira consented to Lee’s request for a one-on-one duel when the Suna-nin left, keen, like Shira, to prove themselves by locating more scrolls.

While both Shira and Neji appeared to be equal in raw speed and skill, Neji recognised that Shira had a minor advantage due to his more substantial build and, as a result, higher raw strength.

Lee sought to deploy the Eight Gates but was unable to do so because Shira had anticipated this and had already struck his pressure points.

Lee continued to force Shira back as he began to change tactics from Might Guy’s lessons, controlling Shira’s movements.

Shira pounded Lee’s pressure points again to remove the block, intending to confront Lee at his best, after appreciating each other’s desire.

Shira employed the Seven Heavens Breathing Method as Lee entered the Eight Gates, which proved to be as effective as the Eight Gates.

Shira’s earlier wounds began to resurface as the intensity between the two increased, causing Lee to call a halt to the fight.

Yome stated to Shira that once the Chnin Exams are completed, he will enlist in a special force on the fringes of Suna so that he can be closer to his parents.

Lee wished Shira success and presented him with one of his jumpsuits as a token of their new relationship.

On the third day of the exam, Team Guy meets and battles with a group of Ame kunoichi.

The enemy team chose to retreat after a brief battle because Team Guy was not the objective they were looking for.

Despite this, Lee’s crew tracked down the Ame-nin and led them to an ancient ruin.

The ground collapsed during their continuous combat, swallowing Tenten and Ajisai and isolating them from their respective teams.

The two Ame-nin rejected them down and fled, despite the fact that Lee and Neji wanted to work together to save one another’s friend.

Lee recommended that they dig their way through the rubble, but Neji rejected the notion, fearing that they might do more harm than good.

When Lee and Neji locate the two Ame-nin, they assist them in their battle against another Konoha team, as they require their assistance in locating Tenten.

Because they were outmanned, the other Konoha unit was forced to retreat.

After agreeing to work together, the two teams battle a colony of huge ants, but Tenten is the one who defeats them.

The two teams part quietly now that they’ve been reconciled.

Team Guy is later stranded in a big sandstorm. Neji repelled the sand long enough for Tenten to summon a protective dome to keep them safe while they waited out the storm.

They spotted Matsuri, who implored them to help save Gaara once the storm passed and they resumed their efforts to pass the exam.

F’s teammates approached Team Guy soon after, and they agreed to join forces in the hopes of rescue F and Gaara.

Neji and Tenten attempted to save the jinchriki as Lee and Matsuri joined F’s friends in distracting Hichi.

With his Gentle Fist, Neji was able to liberate Gaara and F, but at the expense of Hichi, as the chains soon turned on him, still looking for tailed beast chakra, and bound him.

Despite the fact that Lee’s team lacked a matching set of scrolls, they chose to finish the examinations and proceed to the main building.

There, it was discovered that the Chnin Exams had been called off early due to a disagreement in the second exam.

Instead, Gaara decided that each participant’s report would be given to their respective village chief, who would decide whether or not they would be promoted.

Tsunade elevated Lee and Tenten to chnin and Neji to jonin when they returned to the village.

Part Two:

Kazekage Rescue Mission is a rescue mission led by Kazekage.

Tsunade became concerned after Team Kakashi was on on a mission to save Gaara from Akatsuki, so she dispatched Team Guy as a backup.

They ran into Pakkun on their way to a rendezvous place, who pointed them to Team Kakashi’s location. Kisame Hoshigaki attacked them shortly after.

As the battle raged on, Lee was able to quickly disable Kisame, but was soon imprisoned in a Water Prison alongside Neji and Tenten by Kisame’s water clones.

Neji eventually freed Lee and himself, allowing Lee to save Tenten before she suffocated.

They then stood there and watched Guy finish off Kisame. They found after Kisame’s defeat that they were fighting a lookalike, not the actual Kisame.

When Pakkun realised they were being held up, he led them to Team 7.

Team Guy was entrusted with bringing down the barrier covering the entrance to the Akatsuki lair when they met with Team Kakashi.

Neji utilised his Byakugan to locate the seals while maintaining the barrier and sent their locations to the rest of the crew.

They found the seals and took them off at the same time, successfully eliminating the barrier but being attacked by copies of themselves in the process.

Soon after, Lee and his clone began fighting, attacking each other in turn.

Lee connected with the rest of the crew who were in the same scenario after being evenly matched with his clone and presented a solution: to become stronger than they were when the copies were produced.

Lee then employed a novel way to defeat his clone.

Team Guy rejoined after their bouts were won, and they travelled to meet up with Team 7.

While on their route, Neji saw Deidara with his Byakugan, and the team was able to sneak up behind him just in time to prevent him from fleeing.

Deidara realised he was outmatched after fighting Guy’s team and attempted to flee.

While on Deidara’s tail, Team Guy confronted him, prompting him to create an explosive clone, nearly killing both teams if it hadn’t been for Kakashi’s intervention.

Both teams escorted Gaara back to Sunagakure when their mission was finished and later paid their respects at Chiyo’s grave.

Following that, both teams flew to Konoha. Guy began carrying Kakashi, who had become crippled due to excessive use of the Mangek Sharingan.

Reconnaissance Mission at Tenchi Bridge

Lee and the rest of Team Guy were only seen once in the anime, when they returned from Suna, at the start of this arc.

Lee was astonished when Guy informed him that because he was carrying Kakashi on his back as well, he had only placed third in his and Guy’s run from Sunagakure to Konoha.

When they returned to Konoha, Lee was seen lugging everyone’s backpacks. Team Guy rested after escorting Kakashi to the hospital.

Ninjas of the Twelve Guardians

In the anime, Asuma Sarutobi invited Lee and his male peers to join him for lunch with a visitor from outside the town.

The adversaries revived members of the Kohaku clan when Furido’s 4-Man Team stormed the town.

To keep the zombie-nin at bay, Lee fought alongside other Konoha-nin.

Later, when Sora and the others found that he was a Pseudo-Jinchriki, they went to stop him.

Sora, on the other hand, proved to be too much for Naruto, who instead confronted him and eventually stopped him. The invaders were all defeated in the end.

Suppression Mission of the Akatsuki

The Akatsuki Suppression Mission is the main article. In the anime, he is seen lamenting Asuma’s death at his burial.

Appearance of Three-Tails

The Appearance of Three-Tails is the main article. In the anime, Lee was assigned to Team Two, which was led by Yamato and included Tenten, Kiba, and Akamaru.

His crew notices an opponent once they have settled into their position. Lee charges in and connects with a kick, but the opponent is revealed to be a smoke clone.

The true Kigiri and his allies emerge, and Lee quickly finds himself stuck behind Kigiri’s smokescreen.

He found his way through and attacked Kih with Front Lotus after recalling a conversation with Guy about using other senses.

The opposing shinobi were eventually beaten by his side.

Later, he fought alongside Tenten on the lake against Guren and Rinji as Team Three attempted to seal the Three-Tails.

He and the rest escaped after the beast went mad, taking an unconscious Ino to shore.

They all agreed to try the assignment again after they had recovered.

Following that, Lee and his team are pitted against the same foes they faced earlier.

Unfortunately, his team lost owing to the activation of the enemy’ cursed seals, which made them stronger than before.

Later, the foes combined, posing an even greater threat to him and the others.

The Three-Tails, on the other hand, crushed the conjoined adversaries while on ramapage.

They returned to Konoha after failing to seal the beast for the second time.

The Assault of Pain

Team Guy was away on an assignment during Pain’s invasion on Konoha.

They observed a big number of birds flying from the direction of the village on their way back to the hamlet and rushed to check what the problem was.

The party then came upon a defeated Gamabunta, who informed them that the hamlet was on the verge of being destroyed.

When they arrived to find the village in ruins, they also discovered a seriously injured Hinata Hyga, who was taken to the hospital after Tenten determined that her wounds were not deadly.

To everyone’s surprise, Katsuyu subsequently informed them that Naruto was fighting with the last member of the Pain.

Guy persisted on providing backup with his team, but Katsuyu indicates that Naruto does not want anyone else engaged.

Lee, along with the rest of the villagers, later celebrated Naruto’s triumph over Pain.

The Locus of Konoha (Past Arc)

Summit of the Five Kages

When news of Sasuke Uchiha’s atrocities against other villages reaches Konoha, Lee and the rest of the Konoha 11 plan to eliminate Sasuke before he can drag Konoha into a war.

Lee, Kiba, and Sai accompany Sakura to the Land of Iron so she can notify Naruto of their decision.

Sakura surprises Lee by telling Naruto that she loves him when they find him.

Despite Lee’s protests, this does not persuade him to abandon his own search for Sasuke, and they leave without saying anything else.

Sakura then requests that her escorts assist her in locating Sasuke.

When they get close to his location, Sakura tries to knock them out so she may face Sasuke alone, while Lee and Kiba insist that telling Naruto the truth would have been preferable.

When Sai intervenes, Sakura persuades Lee and Kiba that he is a traitor. She manages to knock them out while they try to apprehend him.

After meeting with Sasuke, Sakura and the rest of Team 7 recover Lee and the others and return to Konoha.

Lee and the rest of the Konoha 11 are subsequently seen listening to Naruto’s decision to bear responsibility for Sasuke.

Despite their protests, Naruto asserts unequivocally that he will be the one to look for Sasuke.

He pledges to tell them everything when the moment is appropriate before he leaves.

Power

Power is the main article. In the anime, Lee and his teammates were dispatched to assist Team Kakashi in their investigation into what was going on at The Hole in Tonika Village.

Lee and Guy faced Naruto’s berserk clone during this assignment, and after opening the Fifth Gate with his master, Lee was able to stop the beast from taking on a pseudo-Nine-Tails form.

On a Boat in Paradise

Lee, along with Sakura and Guy, is assigned to the Third Division during the Fourth Shinobi World War.

While Sakura is attempting to treat him, he is seen stressing over his sensei’s condition.

The Third Division arrives just in time to stop the reborn shinobi from attacking the members of the Surprise Attack Division.

He is then seen fighting the reborn ninja alongside the Third Division.

They create a Manji Formation on Kakashi’s orders, and Lee swears to protect Sakura no matter what; however, she warns him to be cautious, as Zabuza was able to pierce the formation from its weak place in the centre the last time.

Haku’s attack with the Leaf Coiling Whirlwind was later intercepted by him and Guy.

Guy urged Lee to chase after Pakura while he went after Gari when the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist were called in the anime.

As night falls, Lee and his remaining division men rest after a long day of fighting.

Lee stays close to Sai, who was charged with sealing the resurrected Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, when the combat resumes the next day.

Lee instructs Sai not to worry about anything and to focus on the sealing while he protects him.

When Naruto’s shadow clone appears on the battlefield, Lee declares that his presence will enhance their numbers.

Naruto, on the other hand, tells them that in his current state, he won’t be able to use the Shadow Clone Technique, thus they’ll have to fight the next wave of White Zetsu Army clones with quality techniques rather than quantity.

Later in the anime, the Third Division encountered yet another reincarnated shinobi: Master Chen, a well-known Konohagakure hero who was assumed to have perished during the Third Shinobi World War.

Konoha’s Sublime Green Beast of Prey, who is ecstatic at the idea of facing such a renowned taijutsu expert, quickly finds himself on the defensive against the old man.

A shinobi manages to flee the conflict and, while looking for reinforcements, comes into Rock Lee, who rushes to Guy’s rescue.

Lee discloses his history with Chen before fighting the legend in battle when he sees the legend he met as a genin before him.

Lee eventually defeats Chen’s Leaf Dragon God method by employing the One-Man Front Lotus, which he devised to counter the former’s rotational winds.

Chen recounts the period when he had his own student who couldn’t use ninjutsu and how he perished during the Third Shinobi World War as his immortal body disintegrates.

The old master was finally able to break the summoning contract and his spirit returned to the afterlife after letting go of his terrible history and apologising to the young man for what he had said. Lee promises Chen that he will bury him with rice balls.

Climax of the Fourth Shinobi World War

Climax Lee and the rest of the Konoha 11 rush to Naruto and B’s aid after learning from Inoichi at HQ that they are facing the “masked Madara.”

As he ran, he encouraged Sai, who was regretting his inability to use his Super Beast Imitating Drawing technique to get to Naruto faster, by reminding him that now was the time to reply to those resisting Tobi’s valiant attempts.

When Lee arrived on the battlefield and saw his mentor’s condition, he wondered if Guy had utilised the Daytime Tiger technique again.

Later, he stood with the other Allied Shinobi Forces soldiers as they prepared to face their foes.

Lee and his master prepare to attack the two Uchiha after opening the Fifth Gate, but they are buffeted by the power generated by the now fully formed Ten-Tails as it fled the hole it had appeared to be stuck in.

He is subsequently seen reacting to Neji’s death with Guy and Tenten.

Guy stopped him sobbing as he held his fallen teammate’s body, telling him to keep his tears and cling on to the sensations Neji had left them.

Lee was subsequently seen watching Naruto give the Allied Forces some reassuring words.

Lee pondered something Neji had said to him as he reflected about his childhood with Neji and the chats they had.

After receiving chakra from Naruto, Lee respectfully closed the eyes of his fallen friend before entering the ranks of the other Allied shinobi.

As the Alliance moved ahead, Lee told Naruto that he would deal with Madara while he dealt with Obito.

Lee sped towards Madara with Guy’s help and mercilessly bisected the Uchiha with a tremendous kick, breaking Madara’s connection to the beast as well.

Jinchriki of the Ten-Tails is born

‘Birth of the Ten-Tails’ is the main article. Jinchūriki Lee afterwards gazed in awe at the crimson barrier that had been erected around the Ten-Tails and listened intently as Guy explained that the Four Red Yang Formation technique could only be performed by shinobi of Hokage-calibre.

When the Alliance was imprisoned in a barrier with a Tailed Beast Ball-firing tree, Lee and the other shinobi quickly found themselves veiled in the previous Version 1 mantles once more.

As a result of Naruto and Minato’s actions, he and the other ended themselves on the outside of the barrier, evading the near-fatal strike.

Many shinobi were attacked as the Ten-Tails turned into its tree form, but Lee was able to flee.

Hashirama Senju had Ino Yamanaka telepathically connect everyone, even Lee.

Hashirama’s words are ineffective, but Naruto’s senjutsu-enhanced Tailed Beast Mode, along with Ino’s telepathy, allows his feelings and personal memories to be communicated to everyone.

When Naruto shouted out to them, he mobilised with his comrades.

Lee was initially concerned about Naruto and Sasuke’s approach after being shocked by Naruto’s Tailed Beast Mode mantle, but he eventually launched an attack on Obito and was able to overcome his defence, allowing Naruto and Sasuke to confront Obito directly.

Later, he and his companions helped Naruto extract the tailed monsters’ chakra from Obito in order to prevent the holy tree from sprouting.

Lee resorted to helping his sensei after he over-exerted himself and was unable to stand on his own.

Lee and his teammates noticed Gaara rushing past them, and Lee noticed Sakura with him.

As Guy becomes concerned about the situation, Madara, who has recently resurrected and become the Ten-Tails’ jinchriki, flies past the Konoha-nin and regurgitates the Benihisago and Kohaku no Jhei, which land on both Guy and Lee.

Guy and Lee went forward after regaining their composure, while Tenten stayed behind.

Guy arrived just in time to save Kakashi and then confront Madara on the battlefield.

Soon after, Lee came, just in time to save his teacher from Madara’s attack.

Guy reviewed the situation and chose to risk his life by attacking Madara through the eighth gate.

Lee began to cry as he realised the consequences of Guy’s actions.

Guy, on the other hand, advised Lee not to be sad because this was his decision.

Lee stood proudly by as he saw Guy take on Madara at full strength.

When the squad chose to help Guy land his attack on the Uchiha, Lee opened the sixth gate right away, but he was enraged by his own incapacity to fight at the same level as Guy.

Guy was making his sacrifice so Lee could survive, and Minato encouraged Lee not to feel that way.

Lee hurled the Fourth Hokage’s Flying Thunder God Kunai in front of the chakra orbs after Minato described the mechanics of Madara’s Truth-Seeking Balls, allowing Minato to teleport most of the orbs away.

Finally, the squad offered Guy the opportunity to use his Evening Elephant to land five tremendous hits.

Lee stood there in awe as his guru unleashed another devastating strike on Madara, observing that this time he used the Night Guy technique rather than the Evening Elephant position.

Lee was taken aback when Naruto reappeared with Guy, who was still alive after having opened all Eight Gates.

Gaara asked Madara to depart swiftly when he attempted to drop the large earthen rubble on the ground, but they were later defeated by the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Lee fantasised about ultimately defeating Naruto and Neji in battle, followed by Sakura expressing her love for him inside the genjutsu.

Strikes by Kaguya tsutsuki

Kaguya tsutsuki Strikes is the main article. Naruto and Sasuke, who finished the war, eventually released Lee and the rest of the world from the genjutsu.
