Although sources confirmed his sudden passing on February 22, 2023, it seems impossible that he took his last breath two days later on February 21, 2023.
As soon as the news of his passing broke on the Internet, his fans and loved ones began paying tribute to him and offering their deep condolences to his family members who are grieving the loss of their beloved.
His church issued a statement confirming the development: “With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, I formally announce to you the sudden passing of Rev. Dr. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye – founder and general overseer of Resurrection Power New Generation Church”.
Rev. Anthony Boakye Death Cause Revealed
On Tuesday night, February 21st 2023, Anthony Kwadwo Boakye passed away at Korlebu Teaching Hospital after an apparent stroke that had left him bedridden since November 2021.
He had been receiving extensive medical care at private facilities before being referred to the Korel Bu Teaching Hospital.
On February 22nd, 2023, when word of his passing spread, a large group of churchgoers gathered at his church location in Ngleshie Amanfro near Kasoa toll booth.
It was also remembered that Rev Anthony told his congregation in November 2022 that he died but was resurrected after five days.
He shared a video in which he declared, “I am living proof…I was dead and resurrected…Thanks to Jesus, He raised me from the dead – if you hadn’t heard before – yes, I died.
My body was kept in the house for five days but here I am alive and well”. His followers and loved ones will always remember him fondly.
