Prime Minister Modi will leave for Kathmandu in the afternoon where he will call on Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun and President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Modi says that his visit closely follows the state visit of Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli to India last month.

During Oli’s last visiting to India, both the leaders engaging in talks ranging from national defense, trade, agriculture, and connectivity.

The two leaders agree to bolster the bilateral ties of the two countries.

Prime Minister Modi is assuring that Indian assistance shall always be available for Nepal in its endeavor for the growth and prosperity.

Later in the evening, Modi will hold delegation level talks with Oli.

Leaders of different political parties in the country will call on Prime Minister Modi in Kathmandu.

On Saturday, Prime Minister will visit historic Muktinath temple in Mustang district situated in north-west Nepal to offer prayers Modi will attend a reception hosting by Ambassador Puri in his honor.
