According to data from the Union health ministry, India registered 11,539 new coronavirus infections on Sunday, bringing its total to 4,43,39,429, while the number of active cases decreased to 99,879 from Saturday.

The data updated at 8 am showed that the number of deaths attributable to COVID-19 increased to 5,27,332 with 34 fatalities, including nine deaths that Kerala reconciled.
According to the ministry, the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.59%, and the active cases make up 0.23% of all infections.

252 new COVID cases are reported in Telangana.

Telangana reported 252 new Covid cases on Sunday, bringing the total to 8,31,874 thus far.

Maharashtra reports 1,832 new cases of COVID, with 11,641 cases currently active.

The state had reported 1,855 cases and two fatalities the day before.

Mumbai Circle had the most new cases (1,269), followed by Pune Circle (295), Nashik Circle (78), Nagpur Circle (100), Kolhapur Circle (39), Latur Circle (32), Aurangabad Circle (16), and Akola Circle (13).

The official stated that Satara in western Maharashtra and Mumbai were the two locations where the two Covid fatalities were reported.

In the last 24 hours, the recovery count rose by 2,055 to 79,24,547, leaving Maharashtra with 11,641 active cases.

According to him, there are 5,761 active cases in Mumbai, 1,925 in Thane, and 1,579 in Pune.

Delhi Reports 942 Cases of COVID, No New Deaths

287 New Covid Cases, 1 Death Reported in Odisha

According to a health department bulletin, 287 more persons, including 62 minors, tested positive for the virus on Sunday, bringing the total number of Covid cases in Odisha to 13,25,061.

One additional patient succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 9,163, according to the report.

On Saturday, the state reported 320 new illnesses and one fatality.

Currently, there are 2,485 active cases of the disease in Odisha, whereas 13,13,360 patients have recovered from it.

Thane reports 278 new COVID-19 infections; total cases are now over 1,900.

The number of coronavirus infections in Maharashtra’s Thane district has increased to up to 278 new cases, bringing the total to 7,38,453, a health official said on Sunday.

The district now has 1,905 active COVID-19 cases after adding the most recent figures from Saturday, he added.
