Louise Brooks in the CBS comedy sitcom Gary Unmarried (2008–2010), Abigail Carlson in the HBO mystery drama series Big Little Lies (2017–2019), and Allie Pressman in the Netflix adolescent drama series The Society are among her most notable roles (2019).

Newton is Robin and David Newton’s only child. She began her acting career at the age of four, playing Colby Marian Chandler on the ABC soap series All My Children from 2001 to 2004.
