Kaalan Walker, an actor and rapper, has been accused of sexually abusing a number of women.
The 23-year-old Superfly star was arrested in 2018 and charged with nine charges of felony sexual assault and rape dating back to April 2016. Walker has been accused of sexual abuse by fifteen women.
Walker was released on reduced bond in March as a result of COVID-19, but the victims were never informed.
He is accused of contacting women through social media under the pretence of organising a photo session. When the women met up thinking him to be a photographer, they claim the actor sexually abused them.
Before his arrest in 2018, Walker’s career was on the rise, and he had acted alongside Halle Berry in the 2017 picture Kings. He also appeared in the 2018 films Superfly and In Contempt, both legal dramas.
He spoke to Billboard in 2018 about his battle with depression, telling the publication: “I’ve almost ended my life on several times.”
He raps under the moniker KR. I’m still depressed on sometimes. I’m lonely; behind the scenes, it’s not all sparkle and glamour. Depression is genuine, yet many are afraid to disclose their struggles, flaws, and misery for fear of appearing weak.”
Walker has refuted the charges and stated that he is innocent on social media.
Walker wrote, in part, on social media, “I am innocent until proven guilty.” “It’s not cool to be presumed innocent unless proven guilty.” “Wait till my trial, y’all,” says the narrator.
Kehlani, a singer, sent a series of tweets regarding Walker, expressing her support for the women who have come forward.
“I apologise in advance if everything I’m going to be retweeting involves rape and assault,” she wrote on March 6.
“I am standing with the victims of a serial RAPIST who I knew personally to be aggressive, scary, and twisted,” she added.
He was released on bail and has returned to photographing people (which is how he began abusing people in the first place, many of whom were kids).
His case is still pending, and his victims and allies are now being targeted and gaslighted by him and his followers on social media. Some of them are FRIENDS of mine. “I AGREE WITH YALL.”
Walker retaliated by saying he would “reveal” Kehlani’s secrets. He alleges the singer had an abortion for an alleged kid they shared, but she denies it.
Walker also claimed that A$AP Rocky “saved him” by bailing him out, but the rapper has now refuted the storey, writing on Twitter, “HUH?? I DON’T KNOW THAT CLOWN, AND I’M NOT BAILING OUT SHIT. STOP THINKING ABOUT ME.”
