Irma Garcia has passed away. She was an educator, a philanthropist, and a dedicated teacher. Her daughter has written a touching tribute to her.

Irma Garcia was a teacher

Irma Garcia, one of the two teachers killed in the Texas school shooting earlier this week, died after shielding students from a gunman.

She had just finished her 23rd year as a teacher at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. She and her husband, Joe, had four children together.

The couple had been married for 24 years. They were both high school sweethearts.

Their son, Christian, is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps. They also had a daughter, Annabelle Guadalupe Rodriguez.

A GoFundMe page has been launched by the Garcia family to raise money for the victims’ families. So far, the initiative has raised over $2.4 million.

All the proceeds will be used to help the victims. It’s hoped that this will help the victims’ families recover from the tragedy.

Irma Garcia’s daughter penned a moving tribute

During the recent massacre at Uvalde High School in Texas, it is estimated that 21 lives were lost. This tragedy is a sad reminder that the human race is not without flaw.

A recent study of the victims found that a small sample of adolescent boys and girls were at the epicenter of this tragic event.

For many of the survivors, life will never be the same. One of the survivors is a close friend of the Garcias. Another is a family member.

The last and by far the most difficult to deal with is Irma, a teacher and mother of three.

To make things worse, her husband, Joe, died of a heart attack two days after the shooting.

And as any wife and mother would do, Irma did her best to provide comfort and comforting company. Also read: Lakshman Death Cause

Irma Garcia’s husband died of a heart attack. He suffered the fatal attack shortly after her death. The couple had been married for 24 years, and left behind four children.

A GoFundMe campaign was set up for the Garcia family to cover the funeral expenses. So far, the fund has raised over $2.25 million.

Joe and Irma Garcia were parishioners of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uvalde, Texas. They had been together since high school.

The Garcias have four children, two of whom are in middle school. Another son attends Texas State University. One of the Garcia’s sons, Cristian, completed a Marine boot camp earlier this year.

Visitations began Monday, and the funeral will continue into mid-June. During the service, some people sobbed. Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller offered thanks for the life of Irma Garcia.
