Dream made headlines last year when he released his face, but on April 3 he caused even greater shockwaves by unveiling United SMP (USMP), his new survival multiplayer Minecraft server designed to rival Dream SMP by providing multilingual creators the chance to collaborate and communicate directly via an international collaboration platform.
Quacity made another surprise announcement the following day when he unveiled Quackity SMP (QSMP), another multilingual server. For many this idea may not come as much of a shock; after all he streams videos or makes videos in both English and Spanish.
Fans couldn’t ignore the striking similarities between Dream and Quackity’s servers, especially after both creators released new projects at once, leading many fans to start bickering over who first had the idea for these servers. Both streamers kept quiet about this drama until Dream broke his silence to admit it was all just coincidence.
How is the internet reacting to this Minecraft drama?
As everyone was initially confused by the similarity between Dream and Quackity servers, including YouTuber megastar MrBeast, everyone became disoriented due to this overlap. Although an American Mincrafter claimed QSMP initially focused solely on Spanish and English languages only, Mexican creator later announced additional ones such as Portuguese, Japanese, and Korean for his server.
Advertisement Quackity’s silence about this matter and his failure to respond to Dream’s private texts regarding Dream’s server was the final straw that caused many fans to believe there may be bad blood between him and Dream. Some even speculated that Dream was jealous of quackity height, which he revealed to be 5 feet 4 inch on Twitter.
Quackity and Dream have not directly been involved in this drama between themselves; rather their communities have taken to Twitter discussing it. Whatever the outcome may be, it will be fascinating to see who has the most successful multilingual Minecraft server.
