Box office receipts for “Fukrey 3” on the first day: Pulkit and Richa’s movie debuts with Rs 8 crore

Six years after ‘Fukrey 2’ premiered and won over audiences, its highly anticipated sequel ‘Fukrey 3’ released on September 28, 2023 and made waves at both box offices across India as well as receiving positive reviews.

According to early trade reports, it opened with approximately Rs 8 crore just like its predecessor ‘Fukrey Returns’.

“Fukrey 3,” directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and featuring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi and Richa Chadha as its stars, earned anywhere between Rs 8.50 crore to Rs 8.75 crore on its opening day collection – similar to what had been collected on opening day for its predecessor ‘Fukrey 2’ which had earned Rs 8 crore on opening day itself Additionally, on September 28th this movie achieved 22.12% occupancy.

Box Office India reported, “Delhi/ UP will likely see the highest collections for the film, given that this franchise has done best in the north but Punjab no longer represents an ideal market following pandemic and there’s no holiday there either; on the contrary, Mumbai/ Gujrat do witness holidays; however their value may not push collections as effectively.”

“FUKREY 3’ is a gripping and unforgettable cinematic experience, continuing the legacy of its predecessors, including the much-discussed Fukrey Returns hit or flop debate. In previous parts of this franchise, Ali Fazal was one of its leads.

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced under Excel Entertainment by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, its third installment of the Fukrey franchise follows ‘Fukrey’ (2013) and ‘Fukrey Returns’ (2017). Its music is composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Sumeet Bellary, Abhishek Nailwal with lyrics penned by Kumaar.
