Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker Review
The speaker is built sturdy to support its use in multiple scenarios. I have used it at home, parties and even at the beach. The sound quality is fantastic. As per your device music settings, the bass is excellent even at a lower volume. It can easily be used in setting of 20-25 people for the need of soft or loud music. It connects to multiple devices easily and has an aux connect too.
IN THE BOX:
– SoundLink Colour
– Charging plugs and USB to micro-USB wire
– Manuals
I’m no speaker connoisseur, but when you buy a Bose you are guaranteed a certain level of quality and this device doesn’t disappoint. The battery lasts for about 7-8 hours on full charge on full volume.
Sound: This speaker is LOUD. It has a well balanced sound and does deep bass-lines very well. It has an impressive frequency response range that is uncommon in portable speakers, and definitely beats the JBL Flip 2. There are at least 4 speakers that I can make out through the grille. 3 at the front and 1 dedicated bass firing backwards. The sound is crystal clear till 95% volume, with minor distortion at 100% but by then it is too loud to bear. I’m not an audio expert but at max volume it sounds like the 3 front speakers overpower the lesser-equipped bass speaker, and the whole thing starts to vibrate. Keep it in a corner facing you for maximum bass effect. You can play pretty much any genre and expect great sound, especially rock artists like Audioslave or chillwave artists like Washed Out. I have always noticed with all Bose devices that they play Blues and Jazz really well. This speaker is no exception. Just remember to use 320 kbps bitrate or higher.
Battery: I get about 10 hrs of continuous playback on one full charge while connected through bluetooth, at about 60% volume. And it takes 90 minutes to charge from 0 to 100, all while playing music.
Price: You can buy Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker at Rs. 7,900 and trust me it’s totally worth it.
✓ PROS:
– Amazing sound: 4 speakers inside 1 cabinet
– Dedicated back-firing bass speaker
– Extremely loud, no distortion at all till 95% volume
– Elegant looks, solid build
– Long-lasting battery (8-10 hrs at normal volume)
– Super-fast bluetooth, remembers 8 devices
✖ CONS:
– No microphone for calling
– Battery indicator should be more detailed
– Expensive. Available for $129 in USA (roughly ₹ 8400)
– A little heavy (slightly heavier than JBL Flip 2 but considerably lighter than SoundLink Mini)
My Final Words:
Thank you for reading this far! In last I just say this, just go for it. This is premium speakers from branded company. If you are a music lover and you love to do party then I must say this speaker is made for you only.
