Aukey True Wireless Earbuds: There has been a flood of genuine wireless earphones on the market this year.

Many of these earbuds come with expensive features like active noise cancellation and bespoke hearing profiles, but what if all you want are a pair of truly wireless earbuds at a low price?

How would you know if those low-cost earphones from a lesser-known brand are up to the task?

To find out, I decided to put a set of true wireless budget earbuds from Aukey to the test.

Aukey is a company that offers affordable electronic products in plain brown packaging, largely on Amazon.

Aukey doesn’t waste money on flashy marketing or snazzy packaging; instead, company concentrates on providing high-quality, dependable hardware at reasonable costs.

So, let’s see if the brown-label items can hold up their end of the bargain.

The Aukey EP-T21 was the first pair I trie

These earpod-style earbuds come with a teeny-tiny charging case and are well-made.

The lithium batteries can be charged via a Micro USB connector on the back of the charging case.

Green LEDs glow on the front of the casing while it charges, then turn off after about two hours when the battery is fully charged.

There is no indicator to display how much charge is left in the case.

Both earbuds are laying in their charging cradles when you open the lid of the charging case.

Depending on whether the earbud batteries are completely charged or not, each earbud features an LED that illuminates green or red.

The earbuds may last up to five hours on a single charge, and the charging case battery provides a total of 25 hours of playback time.

That’s a really respectable figure, especially considering the case’s modest size.

The EP-T21 comes with three pairs of silicone eartips in small, medium, and large sizes, as well as a short Micro USB charging cord.

The ear-tips help with sound by providing a good passive ear seal. The earbuds are easy to pair with a smartphone.

And the Bluetooth connection is automatically refreshed each time they are removed from their charging case.

The Aukey EP-audio T21’s codecs are listed as SBC, but I was able to connect using AAC on my iMac and iPhone, thus they’re perfect for iOS and Android devices.

Pausing music, skipping songs, accepting or rejecting calls, and ending a conversation are all possible with a touch control on each earphone.

Volume levels cannot be adjusted using the touch controls. When making phone calls, each earbud has a built-in MEMs microphone that picks up the user’s voice, and the call quality is surprisingly good.

The EP-sound T21’s is forward and robust in the midrange, as well as clear in the treble area, giving the music a lot of clarity. The EP-bass T21’s response is a tad less believable.

The bass is present, but it is not as prominent in the mix as the other frequencies.

However, the sound quality is generally good, and whether you appreciate it depends on the genre of music you listen to.

The EP-T21 may not be the earbuds for you if you enjoy thundering bass. Aside from that, the volume levels are outstanding, and the sound quality is exceptional for the price.

Conclusion: The Aukey EP-T21 has to be one of the best affordable earbuds available.

They aren’t the best earbuds, and they will never match the sound quality of a high-end set, but at this price, they are a complete bargain and excellent value for money.

If you’re tired of losing earphones on your daily commute or don’t want to bring an expensive set with you on vacation, the Aukey EP-T21 truly wireless earbuds are a great option.

$29.99, £19.99, and €29.99, respectively.
