Obie is an American rapper who was born on November 14, 1977. In 2002, he was signed to Eminem’s shady records, which is a Detroit-based rapper.
He also established his own record label, Black Market Entertainment.
He departed shady’s records following that. He didn’t utilize a rap moniker on stage, unlike other rappers, and instead used his real name.
Of 2000, while still with Shady Records, he created a freestyle sketch called Devil’s Night for the album D12, which followed the entrance sample in The Eminem Show lead song “Without Me.” Later, he rapped on 8 Mile’s songs as well.

The rapper was dating a woman, according to Curt Lawson, deputy chief of the West Bloomfield Police Department, and after they broke up, the rapper began texting her threats and also threatened some of her family members.
Obie had also gone to his ex-residence girlfriend’s several times without being invited, and the officers had warned him to cease after they were informed.
The rapper, however, would not listen and continued to make threats, prompting the police to issue a misdemeanor warrant, which resulted to his arrest on Thursday.
He is currently being jailed and has been handed a $10,000 bond.

On September 23, 2003, he released his debut album “Cheers,” which included his first hit “Got Some Teeth.” The single was well-received and drew the attention of a large number of listeners.
The song also charted at #54 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at #1 in the United Kingdom.
Obie quit Shady Records due to concerns with his promotion, claiming that he was not properly promoted.
The public had assumed that this would result in a feud between him and Eminem, but this was not the case. It was just a miscommunication.
