Immortal Amara Build From Borderlands 3 That Won’t Die In Mayhem 10

Amara build : As I work my way through the Mayhem 10 builds for each of the Borderlands 3 vault hunters, I’ve finally arrived at Amara, who used to be my primary, but is now more of a backup character because my other characters are too powerful to ignore. That could be about to change.

We now have an Amara that is basically immortal no matter what is thrown at her thanks to a single new anointment in the Mayhem 5-10 phase of the game.

When you combine that with other usually good build options for her, you’ve got a Mayhem 10 monster who can farm all day without dying.

The immortal Amara build I’m currently utilising is as follows:

Shield

Let’s start with the shield. Weird. It is, however, the entire key to this project, and it would be impossible to complete without it.

Last month, a new anointment for shields was created, which activates whatever effect on the shield would normally happen on break or fill whenever you use your action skill.

This equates to 5 seconds of invulnerability for the Stop-Gap. Guess who can use her action talent five times in five seconds? Amara, you’re right.

If you space out your action abilities appropriately, you’ll never have to take damage using this shield and this mod.

It took a long time to farm this shield (and I still need another for Fl4K, who can use it with their Rakk build), but Traunt is dropping approximately three shields per kill in Athenas right now, and I obtained one through tedious Kaoson farming

Normally, a Stop-Gap may be found in Jakobs Estate through El Dragon Jr.

The Blue Tree

We’re employing Phasecast here because of its short cooldown and the anointment it provides for the guns we’re using.

This tree is all about improving your gun damage, and you’ll obviously need the capstone, which allows you to use two action abilities before they cool out.

The Red Tree

This is Amara’s elementalist tree, which is always beneficial to her. I’d definitely put some points into Lifesteal to make up for the fact that you’re not immortal.

Because of Mayhem scaling, lifesteal is currently broken and effectively makes you eternal.

Because of the Guardian Rank perk, which stacks damage the more elemental effects you have running, Conflux is now a really good skill.

Weapons

As always, the anointment I’m shooting for is 250 percent weapon damage after phasecasting, which is still one of the finest anointments in the game by a long shot.

I have one on both a Mayhem 10 ION Cannon and a Mayhem 10 Kaoson, with the exception of Kaoson, who isn’t elemental. It rips apart.

Grenade

Choose whichever after-action aspect you want for your grenade. Grenade damage is currently broken, so it doesn’t matter what kind of grenade it is.

Modify the class

For the most part, I’m still using Phasezerker, which I believe is Amara’s greatest mod.

This isn’t the finest roll, but it does have crit damage on Atlas weapons for my Kaoson, which I just realised is a DAHL weapon as I type this. Crap. So, it’s time to start farming a 250 percent Phasecast OPQ.

Artifact

I think the Pearl is the best choice here, as it is for many other constructions, though I do miss the handy sub-modifiers on some of the others.

However, the collateral damage is sufficient to justify the risk.
