Matthew Brown was a resident of Rockton and working as an operator for Pro Floor work van on North Rockton Avenue near Auburn Street in Rockford when an unknown vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree without cause at around 5 AM.

Despite all efforts of emergency personnel, Brown succumbed to major injuries sustained from the collision and was pronounced dead on-the-spot.
