Ferrigno visited Bloom, a nationally syndicated show about health and well-being that is based at the NBC Affiliate WFLA. He also spoke to Gayle Guyardo regarding his cochlear implant procedure which he describes as “a dream come true”.

The United States has one in three Americans over 65, and half of those over 75 with hearing loss. However, only 5 percent of those who would benefit from a cochlear device have them.

Untreated hearing loss in older adults can lead to significant brain damage and a decrease in quality of life.

Cochlear implants may be an option for adults who are currently using hearing aids but are not getting the benefits.

Cochlear Implants are FDA-approved and can be used to effectively treat severe or profound hearing loss.

Cochlear implants can be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurance companies.

To find out if a cochlear implant is right for you, viewers can use the Cochlear hearing aid Check online.

The Hearing Aid Check is designed to allow individuals to compare their hearing performance using hearing aids with people who have a cochlear implant. Based on the results, they can be encouraged to seek additional hearing care advice to address their hearing loss.

Bloom is available in 40 markets in the United States, reaching approximately 36 million households. It also airs in Puerto Rico, U.S Virgin Islands, and Madison, WI.

Bloom can be seen in Tampa Bay Market on weekdays at Noon on WTTA; Spectrum 1006; Frontier 514, DirecTV 38, Dish 38, Comcast 43. Also, look out for Bloom early mornings and on WFLA News Channel 8.
