Gible Community Day, June 2021: Date, Research, Move, Bonus, And Shiny

Gible community day : So it came to Tyranitar, then to Bagon, and now it has to come to Gible.

Gible used to be the rarest creature on the planet, with its whereabouts being announced in Discord groups and its owners walking them to the other side of the planet to collect more candy.

The small thing will now be as common as Caterpie on Sunday. It’s June, which means it’s time for Pokemon GO’s Gible Community Day. Here’s what you should be aware of:

Gible Community Day will take place on Sunday, June 6, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. local time.

The Pokemon: Gible is a cute chubby little shark that is always waving its arms as if to say “yes!” when you gaze at it in the game.

“I’m Gible!” exclaims the narrator. While the first evolution will always be my favourite, it eventually evolves into Gabite and finally Garchomp, a vicious Dragon/Ground type that can be used in both PvE and PvP scenarios. It is, however, somewhat less adorable.

The Move: Any Garchomp evolved on Community Day or within two hours of it will know the charged move Earth Power.

Garchomp already has some great techniques, but Earth Power appears to be the best option for those who wish to embrace Garchomp’s Ground proclivities while destroying any Electric-types that get in the way.

Shiny: The most noticeable variation is in the Gible stage, when the little item turns a bright, happy blue. After that, Gabite adds a deeper purplish blue to the mix.

Garchomp, who is essentially a washed-out version of the normal one, is probably the least interesting.

The Bonus: Earning triple catch XP on a Sunday is usually a good idea.

This has always been a useful bonus, but since the increase in baseline catch XP and the announcement of levels 40-50, I’ve been lusting after it.

That’s because excellent throws have become one of the best sources of XP in the game, and triple catch XP plus a Lucky Egg means you can get 6,000 XP from just one excellent throw, not to mention the XP you get from the catch. You’ll be able to make significant progress this way.

Research: We have a special $.99 research available in the shop, as usual.

“Just a Nibble” is the title of this one, and I don’t expect too many surprises from it. For a long time, these have been quite standard.

That’s all there is to it: go get your Garchomp, because those things are powerful.
