She is best known for her role as Larry David’s wife, Cheryl on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. For this role, she was nominated for two Emmy Awards.

Her starring role on ABC’s sitcom Suburgatory was as Dallas Royce. In 2009, she made her directorial debut with the film Serious Moonlight.

Hines was born in Miami Beach (Florida), as the daughter of Rosemary and James Hines.

Hines was part of a family that hails from Frostproof in Florida. However, she grew up Tallahassee where she was an active member of the Young Actors Theatre all through high school.

Hines attended Lively Technical Center, and Tallahassee Community College. She is a Catholic and was born to two brothers and one sister. Before graduating from the University of Central Florida, she attended West Virginia University as well as Florida State University.

Hines was a waitress and a television reporter before she got her acting break. In 1996, Hines also appeared in an episode of the Dating Game. She wasn’t selected for the episode.

Hines’ 2009 directorial debut Serious Moonlight features Meg Ryan and Adrienne Shelly (Hines’ co-star in Waitress).

Hines was a star in the ABC sitcom Motherhood. This is an adaptation of the web series. Jane was played by her. Due to low ratings, the series lasted only 5 of 7 episodes.

She starred in the role of Buffy, Kitty Walker McCallister’s campaign manger, on the 2009-2010 season Brothers & Sisters.

It was announced in July 2010 that Hines would be joining the cast of the Nickelodeon film based on The Fairly OddParents, Title: “A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow up, Timmy Turner! A Fairly Odd Movie – Grow Up, Timmy Turner!” as Wanda, Timmy’s fairy godmother, in a human disguise.

Hines was the executive producer of the reality series School Pride in 2010.

The series follows the renovations at a school each week. Hines starred in the ABC sitcom as Dallas Royce.

Hines also appeared on We need Help, a web-series that aired on Yahoo! Screen. After three seasons, the series was cancelled in 2014.

Hines reached out to United Cerebral Palsy when a nephew was diagnosed with cerebral Palsy. Hines became more involved in UCP over time and used her celebrity status as a means to increase its visibility.

Hines is a member of the Board of Trustees of United Cerebral Palsy. Hines and her family received $25,000 from UCP during the July 12, 2015 episode of Celebrity Family Feud.
