Until her death at the young age of 38, Boryana Straubel was a philanthropist and entrepreneur who founded the “Green” jewelry company called Generation Collection.

A gimmick if ever there was one, the company uses recycled metals and other materials to create its pieces, which can be found in Saks Fifth Avenue stores throughout the country.

As the executive director of the Straubel Foundation, Boryana was an avid environmentalist and philanthropist.

She was also a competitive tennis player, which is one of the many things she was good at.

Sadly, Boryana Straubel died in a car crash in Washoe County, Nevada on November 11, 2018. Boryana was a jack of all trades and master of all trades, starting out as an account manager at Brocade before moving on to founding the Generation Collection,

a jewelry startup that uses recycled metals. Boryana was also a philanthropist, donating money and time to causes such as breast cancer awareness.

Boryana and her husband Jeffrey Brian Straubel are survived by their two young sons.

Although Boryana may have been a pioneer in the startup scene, she was no stranger to Tesla. She was one of the company’s first employees, and her tenure spanned the company’s earliest years.
