Samantha McAfee, Pat McAfee’s Spouse
Fur The Model was founded by Samantha “Ludy” McAfee who serves as its president.
Their mission is to educate individuals about canine cancers and provide financial assistance to pets whose owners have received a diagnosis for their canine.
Since childhood, she has had a deep-seated passion for animals. When in elementary school, she joined 4-H and competed with her canine companion on various occasions in obedience, agility, and showmanship competitions.
As Samantha was a baby, her excitement when visiting her grandfather’s farm increased because she could spend time with the animals there.
For her senior year of high school, she worked at a local pet store and decided to bring stray animals into her home.
This experience has molded her into the responsible adult she is today due to its influence over her choices – even today she continues this practice!
Her interest in veterinary science was aroused as she learned about adorable small animals, prompting her to found Fur The Model, a charitable group run by girls under their authority.
According to her Facebook page, she completed her high school education at Heart Grove and then continued on to enroll at the College of Southern Indiana with plans to further her research.

Adrienne Sparks, owner of 10 year old Leo who has cancer, received financial assistance from Fur the Model Company to pay for Leo’s treatment.

McAfee estimates the typical cost of treatment at around $10,000; however, ongoing radiation therapy may cause some households to incur bills of up to $30,000 over its course.
This charitable group works hard to make the process of receiving assistance as straightforward as possible for pet homeowners who have received distressing news.
Similar to this, households searching for financial assistance can apply online and the company Fur the Model, headquartered online, uses community events as a way of raising money.
