RL Kashyap: Indian Mathematician & Professor Dies at 84. Today India lost Rangasami Lakshminarayan, an Electrical Engineering professor and mathematician. His name was also RL Kashyap.

PM Narendra Modi tweeted, “Shri RL Kashyap is a multifaceted personality who was a great scholar. He had a wealth of scientific and mathematical knowledge.

He was proud of India’s cultural heritage and excelled in Vedic studies. We are all deeply saddened by his passing. His family deserves our condolences.

RL Kazhyap, Indian Mathematician & Prof Died

According to reports, he died Friday, November 11, 2022. He was born March 28, 1938 and is Indian. He was a graduate of Harvard University and the Indian Institute of the Science University of Mysore.

In 2021, the President of India awarded RL Kashyap Padma Shri. He was the representative of the Kashyap Information Criterion in 1982 to choose the best model out of a number of mathematical candidate models. These parameters can be adjusted to adapt models to data.

Kashyap was awarded many International awards for his contributions in science and technology. He was also a researcher and mentor for more than 250 students.

He is the one who has made the most significant contribution to Vedic studies. He gave Sakshi Trust some of his time.

In 2003, the Central Government awarded him the Vedanga Vidwan Award. In 2012, the Karnataka Government presented the Karnataka Rajjyostsava Award.

He won many hearts and awards throughout his career and was regarded as one of India’s greatest mathematicians. Vijay Darda wrote, “Sadened by Padma Shri Dr #RLKashyap’s loss.”
