On Wednesday, April 13th the makers of the upcoming horror comedy film ‘Stree 2’ officially unveiled their film at an event held in Mumbai.
Actors Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee attended the event to make an official announcement regarding their film.
stree 2Team ‘Stree’ performed a skit to announce the release date of their horror comedy sequel.
The team announced that ‘Stree 2’ is set for release on August 31, 2024.
Helmed by Amar Kaushik, ‘Stree’ hit theaters in 2018 and quickly earned itself a place as an instant classic.
Rajkumar and Aparshakti also featured in Varun Dhawan’s horror comedy film ‘Bhediya’ which premiered in November last year.
At the gala held to announce the sequel of ‘Bhediya,’ Varun unveiled its logo and made an enthusiastic wolf sound, showing his excitement at being part of history.
Abhishek Banerjee recently spoke about the long-awaited sequel of ‘Stree’ and expressed his excitement: “2023 is here!!! And I am thrilled to kickstart this year – but looking back at last year, I was nervous about JD aka Jana as it had to be similar yet difficult from Stree.
Thankfully, audiences loved it! Now the journey of Stree 2 will be super exciting… Recently I wrapped Apurva.
I can’t wait to see how people will react to some pretty extreme characters… The playground will get bigger and better this year… so I can’t wait!”
