Controversy surrounding ‘Cuties’

As the filmmakers prepared to distribute the film on Netflix and make it available internationally, however, the tale changed.

Following the publication of the teaser, a Twitter user voiced concern that a film titled Cuties, which features 11-year-old girls twerking, might be troublesome.

Another Twitter user claimed that Netflix’s decision to show cuties on their platform was “corporate pedophilia.” Many internet users noted that the film’s poster was frightening and awful.

Netflix apologized profusely for the artwork used to promote Cutties. Since its publication, however, the hashtag #CancelNetflix has been trending on Twitter in the United States.
