“For those who don’t know, my father Coach Mo was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 colon carcinoma. It’s unbelievable, but he is loved and I love everyone who loves him.” she wrote as she asked for donations to cover her father’s fun.
Kevin Moses won his last championship
Kevin Moses coached Bloomfield’s basketball team to the state championship win last March. In the Div., his boys defeated Granby by 58 to 54. Mohegan Sun, in the IV state championship match. This was Bloomfield’s first boys’ basketball title since 2008.
Moses also served as an assistant coach for the Bloomfield football side. Many of the boys on the basketball team were also part of the football team that lost to Cromwell last December in the Class S state title game.
The basketball title win was a sweet victory for both the coach and the team.
Kevin Moses’ niece started GoFundMe page
Mahkala Huggins (Moses’ niece) has created a GoFundMe account to help raise funds for funeral expenses and funeral arrangements. As of Monday afternoon, the fundraiser had raised approximately $14,500 in just 24 hours.
Moses’ daughter promoted the fundraiser in order to raise funds following her unexpected death.
