Jules Bianchi was previously a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. He had raced in Formula Renault 3.0, Formula GP2, and Formula Three. In 2012, he was a practice driver for Sahara Force India. He made his debut in 2013 driving for Marussia.

He finished 15th in his first race in Australia. He ended the season in 19th place without scoring any points. He finished 13th at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

The team announced that he would be driving for them in the 2013 season. He scored his first points in Formula One, along with the Marussia team, at the Monaco Grand Prix 2014.

Bianchi was in a collision with a recovery vehicle on 5 October 2014. He suffered a diffuse axonal injury and lost control of his Marussia.

Bianchi’s death is the first on-track fatality in Formula One since Ayrton Sena’s fatal accident during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. It is also the latest fatal accident in Formula One as of 2022.

Jules Bianchi was the son of Philippe and Christine Bianchi. He was the godfather to current Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.

Bianchi was the grandson of Mauro Bianchi. He competed in GT Racing in the 1960s, and in three non-championship Formula One Grands Prix 1961.

Lucien was his grandnephew, and he won the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans 24 Hours of Le Mans 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Michael Schumacher was his favorite racing driver.

Jules Bianchi Early career

Bianchi was exposed to motorsport at the age of 3 through karting. This was made possible by his father’s kart track. Nicolas Todt has been managing Bianchi professionally since he was 17.
