Joshua VS Pulev: The unified heavyweight world title battle between Anthony Joshua and Kubrat Pulev on December 12 in London has a lot riding on it.

Joshua must defeat Pulev, the IBF mandatory, in order to keep his undisputed heavyweight world title match with Tyson Fury in 2021.

Joshua is a -1000 favourite (wager $1000 to win $100) while Pulev is a +600 underdog (wager $100 to win $600) according to BetOnline’s boxing odds.

Over 6 1/2 rounds at -120 (wager $120 to win $100) and under 6 1/2 rounds at -105 (wager $105 to win $100) are the betting lines for the total rounds.

I’m choosing Anthony Joshua to win by knockout before I go into my top bets and where I believe the oddsmakers gave value.

Now that we know this, there’s no point in betting Joshua to win at -1000, and while +600 is a tempting underdog bet for Pulev, I believe he has a slim chance of winning this fight.

Pulev has only one loss on his career, and it is a respectable one: a fifth-round knockout loss to Wladimir Klitschko in 2014.

Pulev shouldn’t be a problem for Joshua, who has a two-inch height advantage and a four-inch reach advantage. Pulev, the competitor, is nine years Joshua’s junior.

I’ve been ringside for Pulev’s last two fights, and I just don’t think Pulev, who is 39 years old and the smaller of the two heavyweights, can beat Joshua.

Joshua, the 2012 Olympic gold medalist in the super heavyweight division, is the more proficient boxer and the heavier puncher of the two. Pulev lacks the firepower to defeat Joshua.

Pulev is likely to use bullying tactics to try to take Joshua off his game in the hopes of roughing him up and throwing shots inside like Andy Ruiz did. Pulev isn’t Andy Ruiz, so that’s the only difference.

However, I believe that if Pulev chooses to go that way, he will wind up walking into a big shot and ruining his night.

In addition to the three best bets listed below, our Fight Guys preview includes two additional alternate round betting bonus best bets to bring even more value to sports bettors.

1.) Anthony Joshua KO, TKO, or DQ -250 (Wage $250 to win $100)

In this fight, Anthony Joshua will defeat Kubrat Pulev. The bout will take place at the SSE Arena in front of a maximum of 1,000 spectators.

Aside from fighting in a very intimate setting, Joshua will be fighting at home, where he will be incredibly focused and at ease.

Joshua will establish his space and rhythm early in the fight, allowing him to have a clear look at Pulev and, eventually, the knockout. Pulev will eventually slow down and stand directly in front of Joshua, which will be his undoing.

Pulev isn’t going to go the distance in my opinion. The manner of victory bet is worth a lot more than just betting on Joshua to win at -250.

2.) Under 6 1/2 rounds -105 (Place a bet of $105 for a chance to win $100).

Because I’m expecting Joshua to win by knockout, I don’t think this fight will reach the distance.

With that said, I don’t think this battle will make it to the seventh round’s halfway mark, so I’m going with the under in the rounds. It’s almost even money and a great deal at -105.

I simply don’t believe Pulev will be able to defend himself against Joshua’s bigger, more athletic opponent and will be forced to accept huge shots from rounds four to six, with the knockout occurring in that time frame.

3.) Pulev to be knocked out in the first three rounds +200 (wager $100 to win $200).

Another prop bet I like is +200 for Pulev to be knocked out in the first three rounds. While he may not be knocked out in the first three rounds,

It’s entirely possible that he’ll be fighting by the seat of his trousers after seeing Joshua’s strength.

It’s worth taking the risk at +200 because there’s enough value there.
