How Much is One AirPod : Apple Secretly Released its Long Awaited wireless AirPods

How Much is One Airpod: This week, Apple secretly released its long-awaited wireless AirPods.

The BlueTooth-based solution, which costs $159 in the US, employs Apple’s own W1 communications processor to provide a “no-wires” audio solution.

The AirPods are an important component of Apple’s vision for portable audio in 2017 and beyond, given the loss of the 3.5mm headphone connector on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Although I still believe Apple made a mistake by not having the AirPods ready to go on sale alongside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, they are now available.

Online orders can take up to four weeks to arrive, but Apple Stores receive regular (but limited) supply, so you might be able to walk in the days leading up to Christmas.

Anyway, since the AirPods were unveiled, the running joke has been that Apple would be laughing all the way to the bank because of the hefty replacement pricing if you lost a single AirPod.

Apple’s Service Pricing page contains the answer your pocketbook may not want to hear now that the earphones are on sale.

If you only need a single replacement AirPod, it will set you back $69. You’ll also have to pay $69.00 for a new charging cable and case.

I’m delighted Apple is selling AirPods separately. Unlike wireless earbuds, which have a connecting cord that lies on the back of your neck, these earphones do not have a connecting cable.

It’s conceivable for one AirPod to fall out while the other stays in place. And I’m relieved to see that my suspicions about the missing AirPods being helpful to Apple were correct.

The cost of a fresh set of AirPods (with the charger) is $159. Purchasing the three components separately will set you back $207.

Individually, replacing a single AirPod will be a cost-effective option.

Even if you lose two over the effective lifespan, buying two replacements is still (barely) cheaper than buying a new kit. However.

When you compound the losses by the millions of consumers who are expected to purchase a pair of AirPods, the increased gross revenue from single AirPods and replacement cases over new units adds up.
