The Story of the Film
The Film Vellipomakey introduces us to a supposedly shallow world. The Techie Chandrasekhar a.k.a Chandu hails from the Warangal, and is a boss’s favorite. His life beyond work only exists on the social media and in the weekend outings with the friends. Most of his counterparts are in the serious relationships, The Chandu is desperate to the drain his emptiness. He asks his roommates to introduce him to the more people, to help him, he find a suitable match. His quest seems to be end with a new recruit Shruti, but she backs off. A midnight friend request from a girl called Swetha turns his world tipsy-topsy. Though the foundation to a new-found love interest is seems fragile, he finds a solace in the Swetha’s presence. There are lot of things left to be unsaid and their relationship does not seem to have a direction. The Chandu deals with its repercussions in an open-ended narrative. The non-chauvinistic treatment of a simple story helps the film Vellipomakey. Whenever the Chandu complains about his girl, his roommate called Kishore asks him to rethink the situation from a girl’s perspective. The boys were suspect his friend to be cheating on his girlfriend, but when one of them goes too far, the other also advises, that It is his personal issue and is the none of your business. The Chandu’s friend is no sidekick; but he tells him what is right and wrong. All the three friends symbolise the diverse shades of the romance in which some stable, some transient and many those you cannot put a label to.
